Had a really good 3 course meal here. Everyone was friendly, and the food well cooked and presented . The starter of octopus salad was particularly good. The only down side was the choice of background music . Would have liked traditional Portuguese. Rather than old English ballads. The food was great and the extra liqueur at the end was good. Bonne cuisine, carte variée, l'huile d'olive est omniprésente (en abondance donc il faut aimer). Le jour de ma venue, les serveurs se sont engueulés tout le service ce qui ne donnait pas une très belle ambiance. This is one of the worst restaurants I've been. The food was terrible. The meat was old, the cod was stale, the potatoes that came along were re-heated. Even The veggies were half cooked. Worse, even the tea... The water was tepid and so the infusion didn't happen. On top of it all, despite having a reservation we had to wait around 15 minutes to be seated. And it was over an hour before the food was brought to the table. Overall, terrible experience Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Bien mais... Il est vrai que nous n'avions plus l'habitude d'attendre autant dans un restaurant ! On est restés près de 2 heures au total ;) Le serveur qui s'est occupé de notre table etait de bon conseil, mais n'a pas vérifié les infos données ( en l'occurrence il proposait des demi doses pour les enfants sur des plats sur lesquels a priori ça ne se fait pas ) du coup les filles ont eu des doses énormes alors qu'elles auraient pu partager leur plat ! Du coup l'addition n'en est que plus salée ! Ça faisait longtemps qu'on avait pas payé aussi cher un resto au Portugal (73€ sans dessert) mais bon on a bien mangé et pis c'est les vacances.

"Good food but very bad service. Very time consuming and unprofessional staff. Older employees treat younger employees badly in front of customers. I didn't like what I saw...!" Agree 100% with the review above. Food was OK but we were treated with almost contempt by the arrogant senior waiting staff, despite my wife being Portuguese. A young Brazilian guy was working and served us most of our time there, older staff treated him with a total lack of empathy and respect. Best we could do was make sure it was he who brought us our bill. Paid by card but gave him a decent cash tip. Any of the other guys would not have got even a Euro cent as a gratuity. On the plus side, the place is slightly off 'the strip' so less crowded and benefits from a large covered outside seating area. Wine prices reasonable for the Algarve. Meal type Dinner

Excellent fresh food. Munkfish rice, octopus rice, grilled meat, soups everything fresh and good portions. Takes some time because everything is made from scratch. Recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
