What an incredible surprise! A delightful local gem in Almancil. Family-owned and operated, the warm atmosphere was a joy. Started with prawns and couldn't resist the highly recommended famous prawn curry! Absolutely amazing. Wrapped up the meal with a delightful homemade apple tart. Big thanks to Leonel for the warm hospitality and the delicious dining experience. I'll certainly be returning soon! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the finest restaurants in the area. A small, but perfectly executed menu with very high quality produce. Highlights are the giant Tiger prawn curry, and the clay shingle kid (slow cooked goat). The owner Lionel really knows his wines, so do let him guide you. He kindly let us taste some wines we'd never tried, and now we will be looking out for! Can't wait to return. We enjoyed our dinner there as the atmosphere was relaxing but the gluten free option was really limited. All their local best meals are not gluten free. The wines were nice and reasonably priced. More of a 4.5 stars if I could give half stars on Google maps, but nevertheless a great dining experience in a quaint but cozy place off the beaten paths of Almancil. The decor and tableware lend a charming vibe to the restaurant that is matched by wonderfully attentive and friendly service. We came for dinner and ordered the Mozambique prawns, monkfish gratin (not pictured) and "clay shingle kid", which is young goat served in a repurposed clay roof shingle. The mains were preceded by bread, soft cheese with honey, butter and sliced sausages which was very welcome. The mains themselves were well executed, although the monkfish was a tad on the dry/mealy side (-0.5 stars) although my only other point of reference for cooked monkfish is Japanese style steamed monkfish. All in all a stellar dining experience that I would definitely recommend going to if you're in the mood for some Mozambique style seafood.

Very friendly family run restaurant who were very welcoming us on a non pre booked table for 10 evening meal visit. Food tasty and well presented. Would go back.
We had the most lovely experience this evening! The staff are so attentive and friendly! The food was absolutely incredible, would 100% recommend the monkfish gratin - on of the nicest meals I’ve had! We are a family that love to have a little of “pick and mix” or “share of meals” and wouldn’t fault anything anybody got! Devine. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family!:) enjoy your visit!!
Ola,we went there because a friend of Lionel recommended us.After very warm greeting and recommendation what we should eat,I ordered a caril de Camarāo.The flavour of the curry sauce will haunt me for ever. After an accident with a wine glass,I was really treated as a queen. The host took care of the problem in a very thorough way( even fetched hairdryer for me) Let's end by telling about dessert.Sweet patato was never so addorable, real magic completed by some ice cream.unforgetable experience!!
