This road-side local favorite is one of our favorites too! It's less than 20 minutes from home, Lilly of the Valley in San Lorenzo, and away from the hustle and bustle and saturation of tourists.
Combination lunch plates start at just $7 and you get a choice of roast chicken or pork/lechon and 2 sides (i.e. yucca, plantain, rice or beans). The meats are cooked on an outdoor spit so you see how Puerto Rican Cuisine is made, front and center! They also serve cold beers and other drinks and they have outdoor and indoor seating!
There are restrooms available as well.

I found the food here delicious, and at good prices. The food tasted fresh and well cooked. Didn't have to wait long either. The experience, food wise, I can honestly say it was better than going to guavate. Definitely going back for some more, especially the morcilla and the pork "cuerito". Wish this business lots of success. I highly recommend it.

Alcapurrias and rellenos was a disaster. No taste, meat no seasoning, relleno I couldn't eat it because it was yellow inside when is supposed to be white, it was the worst relleno of my life. I won't be returning here never again

Forget "chinchorros" this place is a great hang out, the food is DIVINE. The people serving and tending to customers are always welcoming and very accommodating. If they run out of something they will try high and low to at least give you options so you eat with all the "gusto" their food deserves. You do not need to go to Guavate; this place has the best PERNIL the best Cuajitos, oh those alcapurrias are to die for! There's music, there's sitting areas, has plenty of parking... 10 stars!
