One of the most affordable restaurants in Boca del Toro, but the food is really good to excellent, from simple rice and beans with chicken to full grilled lobsters. You can choose between a cafeteria style experience, where you walks in front of already prepared food and choose whet you like, or sit at a table and order from the menu. We chose the latter option and got a fantastic fried red snapper and really good calamari in a coconut sauce. If you can find a free table of the terrace on the sea you also get to enjoy your food with a fantastic and relaxing view on the water. Unbeatable quality to price ratio in Boca del Toros, highly recommended. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person PAB 15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fried Fish

Amazing dinner!! I had the lobster in coconut sauce and my fiancé had a fried red snapper. Absolutely delicious seasoning! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
First let me say, don’t bother! I took visitors there because they had Yucca Frita on the menu. Wanted them to try it. No Yucca Frita. Then, my friend wanted a Balboa. NO beer! We decided to stay though my inside voice told me to leave! We ordered French fries. They came under cooked and limp. My friend ordered a hot dog. We told the waiter at least 3x “hot dog” as listed on the menu. The food came, all except the hot dog. We waited and waited. Nothing! Then we asked, “Oh , we don’t have any hot dogs” was the answer. The food we got was also far less than spectacular. My advice: Go somewhere else. Anywhere else! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Funny, every review mentions the cheap price but we paid $10 for pescado frito which seems quite high. Especially since it was kinda dry, had no sauces, with tiny side salad and rice. Seemed over priced and just average taste to me. Better one at Tom's Restaurant for $6! Also so many boats buzzing around that you get a lot of exhaust fumes. Won't be going back there...

Restaurante Chitré was my go to place for at least 2 meals a day. The cafeteria style made dining so easy. Point and chew. Language barrier No Problemo! All the staff was so friendly, even with no common language. I ate there at least a dozen times, the food was fresh, tasty, filling and cheap. I thought it was sweet that the ladies always made sure I ordered veggies. I wouldn't eat there from the menue, its a cafeteria. There are plenty of other dining choices in Bocas
Always a grest selection of delicious Panamanian dishes. One can choose the various meat, side dishes, salads. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person PAB 5–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fried Potatoes
Good food. No fans to move air so it can be hot and humid. No beer is served. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person PAB 10–15 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Simple cheap no-fuss food. Roast chicken and fish for $6, beef & pork for 4.75$ with rice, lentils and a salad. Looks fresh, tastes all right, good portion size. Closes early, so better for lunch or an early dinner.
You can get a lot of food here for not a lot of money. We fed two people for $7 for lunch, which is served cafeteria-style. The patio has great views of the sea and of water taxis going back and forth between nearby taxi docks and attractions in the archipelago. The staff working when we ate here did not speak any English, and this restaurant was where 51 days of Duolingo before going to Panama really paid off!
