The food isn’t bad, the service was good. The atmosphere was not good - there was a lingering and pungent toilet smell in the whole of the restaurant and it dampened the experience. The croquettes were good. We ordered the focaccia bread with olives and we were served regular bread buns one finds in the shops - definitely not focaccia. For mains I had catch of the day with rice, which was good but nothing outstanding given the price they charge. The chicken fricassee was mediocre (the chicken was good but the rice was bland). The dessert was good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €45–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
‼️BRIEFLY ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Is a valid Portuguese restaurant in a very frequented area. You have many dishes from which to choose, some are staples of Portuguese cuisine. 🐟 BACALHAU A BRÁS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Hands down probably one of the best bacalhau I ever tried tasty and we'll balanced. 🦐 CAMARÃO ⭐⭐ The starter ones were chewy and definitely not good. We were expecting them to be crunchy as they were fried. Wouldn't recommend them. 👍 Position is perfect to hang out later and the location itself is lovely 😍 👎Portions could be bigger for the prices, nevertheless this is more like an upper market restaurant. I enjoyed a lot for the food, kindness and nice atmosphere. I had the best gnocchi ever at Carmo. You have to try. Hummus and steaks are also very nice. Creme brille was amaging. People are very kind. You can sit inside or outside as well. Very excellent musicians playing at the Carmo Plaza. I will visit again! If you're looking for phenomenal pork ribs, Portuguese style, look no further than this local eatery. Shorts and t-shirt and blue jeans are more than appropriate for a friendly yet very crowded place to enjoy good food and wine at very very good prices. No white tablecloths here but in the end definitely not needed. Highly recommended for it's great food, value, pricing and extremely friendly and efficient staff!
