I love the ambiance here, and I appreciated that as soon as we were seated multiple plates of incredibly delicious cheeses and meats immediately appeared for us.
I got the pork cheek, and my family got the chicken and lasagna. The main courses were okay! They look amazing, and lack a bit on the taste.
I hundreds percent recommend this location. There is a charm to it can be only experienced in person.
We paid for 7 people and it was only 6 of us. Plus 10 euros for ice. I’m very surprised that they didn’t charge us for water for dogs.
Interesting pricing that made me poor. I don’t know if it is their feature, but I didn’t like it.

They didn't give us the menu, we couldn't see prices, In the end they charged 50 euros for starters! And it was basically bread and old cheese...they included one extra dish that we didn't have, and 20 euros for ice! Better to starve than eat in this "restaurant"

the food was amazing, there’s no denying it. but it was definitely a tourist trap. lol. way too expensive. paid 80€ for 3 people, and one of em didn’t even get to eat cause of restrictions and the staffs refusal to make anything else. damn.

What a scam!!!!! We paid for more people, starters are very tiny and very expensive, they refused to show us a menu and they instead were reading the menu for us. Food does not have any taste, meat is very dry and nobody actually finished the meal. Very disappointed our trip in Serra de Estrela was rather unpleasant thanks to this restaurant. Avoid it at all costs!

Made the biggest mistake of not checking the reviews before coming to this place.
We always thought it weird that although it was always open when we'd drive by there was never anyone in there.
Found out why, all the other reviews are 100% valid.
There's no menu, you're pushed with bunch of entries that are 8€ each and not much, you get a basket of bread 2 carcaças and 3 tiny slices of Regueifa, that was 3.50€, then a plate with 1/3 of cheese that's 8.50€, and then another slab of wood with 4 slices if presunto and 4 slices of chouriço 8.50€.
You're 20€ in debt already without knowing it.
Grilled chicken is what we chose because the other dishes that the waiter said (said because again there is no menu) sounded like an horrific mix of food that shouldn't be besides the bacalhau. The grilled chicken came with a small serving if salad and some soggy chips and a single bread and leg 14€ each.
A coke was 2.50, that alone is absolutely ridiculous.
I'd stay far away from this place, should be reported too for its practices.

Place was dark and dingy staff were not interested. Food was average at best. We were charged for meat and cheese platters which were unrequited.
These were then removed and returned to the fridge after they were covered in flies. They sat on our table for 2 hours.
The total bill was overpriced and not good value at all. Will not recommend to my my worst enemy.
