This was recommended to us by a local guide from Guruwalk. Thank you so much Miriam! We wanted a quick meal as we were tired but the food was really good and the ladies running this establishment know their flavours. We had grilled gambas with fries and a fish tagine which were great (I did miss some kind of sauce for the gambas hence the 4 stars for the food), some fruits for dessert and a mint tea to round it off. We ended up spending about 3h there just taking it easy and enjoying feeding the kittiea who are all sooooo cute! 😍 Will deffo come back to try some sardines and the squid tagine. We ate here twice after trying many other places and I can say that the flavors are homemade and so on point. Nothing flavorless here. The stuffed sardines were the best sardines I’ve ever had, and the calamari tagine was also perfect. The service is great and the olives they give you as a starter are so delicious! I ordered eggplant salad and it was served heated in the microwave. How do I know? The middle part was still frozen. The squid tajine was ok. The dude who works there (the owner?) is trying to be friendly towards women but to a cringe level and kicked a cat in front of everyone. Meal type Lunch Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

How anyone has rated this less then five stars I’ll never know. You can tell the food was cooked from scratch to order and it was really good. We did two nights in a row and we never do that when travelling. The girls serving were also very friendly, cannot recommended enough. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person MAD 100–150

One of the more lower tier restaurants we visited on our time in Essaouira. The venue had great reviews and was located in the old Medina close to the main Souks. The restaurant had a standard menu. We ordered Meat Tagine, Veg Tagine and spag bowl. The spag cheese sprinkled on top tasted 'off', the sauce had a strange taste to it. The Tagines tasted quite bland, needed either salt or more spices in the cooking process. The service was ok, food was 'not grear', overall experience was below what I experienced in Essaouira. Chicken tagine with preserved lemon was awful. Couldn't get past the first bite, wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't come back here for sure.
