Excellent brews here. There is a real chef making some incredible dishes. I'm making this a must stop when I pass through the middle off the state.

The atmosphere here is great. The food is fantastic. The tater tots are so good. Friendly staff. Small selection of their beers on tap. More of a restaurant vibe than a brewery.

Sept 12,2023 We were in town again and visited the Red Eye for the second time.I ordered the steak again. Hubby ordered a burger and it was huge. The dessert..nuttela canola. It was big enough for 4 people, (picture shows one piece)super messy, but delicious. We went around 5 on a Tuesday, so it was not very busy. Drinks were cold and staff was friendly and attentive. Aug 24, 2023First time customers. Very busy place. Food was worth the wait. Steak was awesome. Broccoli was fresh, crisp and seasoned. Pizza was awesome. Can't wait to eat here again.
I came to this joint during my recent stint in WI w/a few colleagues. We ordered hummus, main grain bakery pretzels, and grilled shrimp skewers for appetizers w/myself getting a red eye mac & cheese gratin for the main dish. All the appetizers were dank with the hummus being my favorite! One would have never known it was made w/beets. Quite authentic tasting too; this won't disappoint. The pretzels were warm and salty but the beer cheese that came w/it was the real winner. The shrimp skewers were flavorful and not overcooked. The mac & cheese had excellent flavor w/mad cheese accents, which one would expect while eating "fine" cheese. My only gripe is the size of the portion. Premium prices for such a small amount. The service was excellent despite it being a busy evening!
Nice clean Brewery, don't be fooled by some of the buildings around it as kind of old and beat down the brewery isn't like that. The beer selection is okay. I think there was like 7-9 different types but more IPAs then anything. The food was good. We got pizzas. The pictures we saw and the pizza we saw come out looked like a brick oven Napoleon style pizza. The ones we got were not like that with the big thick crust but it was still pretty good. Our waiter was quick and polite, granted we were one of maybe 4 tables that had people so can't say how they are when it's busy but he was good while we were there. I'd definitely go back. Hopefully they bring back the Napoleon style pizzas as those are our favorite
The service was really good! Riley did an amazing job and was very nice. Beer was OK. I moved to a seltzer after the 1st beer and found that really good. Got the American burger and mixed greens. Really like the mixed greens and sweet potatoes. Burger was okay but the onions had a bit too much of a smoky flavor. We might go back someday.

I’ve been to Red Eye Brewing Company a handful of times; it has always been delish and this visit was no exception. As an out-of-towner I look forward to visiting when we day trip to Wausau. When my husband and I arrived for lunch at noon on Friday we had a short 15 minute wait to be seated. It was nice that they had couches and benches to sit on while we waited. We each ordered a beer— he chose Awesome Sauce and I picked Xanadu. We both enjoyed our choices! For lunch my husband ordered the Wisconsin burger and upgraded his side to fries. He thought the burger was very tasty and particularly noted the use of aged cheddar and the caramelized onions. He did think that the bacon got a bit lost in the taste of the beef. Several times he also commented on how good the fries were; the garam masala ketchup they were served with was also interesting. As my meal, I chose the buttermilk chicken BLT and I upgraded my side to sweet potatoes. This sandwich was sooooooo yummy and perfectly balanced. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The bacon was smoky and added depth, the tomato was fresh, in-season, and juicy, and the chipotle mayo added a delightful kick. Although I think brioche buns are sometimes pretentious, the heartiness of the bun was needed to hold up to the sandwich. Even my husband, who finds chicken rather boring, thought this was an incredibly tasty sandwich. I watched him eyeing it jealously as I ate. I also liked the wood-fired char on the sweet potatoes and the rosemary crème-fraise they were served with was tasty; I only wished the sweet potatoes were cut just a bit thinner. Other notes: ✔️Our server was sweet and attentive ✔️The total was $63 for 2 lunches with upgraded sides and 2 beers (well worth it in my opinion) ✔️The dining room is very open and can be loud; it’s hard to have conversation This was one yummy meal and I dream of our next visit to Red Eye!
Red Eye Brewing Company Wausau impressed me more than I can possibly describe. The atmosphere is casual but upscale. The service is exceptional. The food is locally sourced and farm to table. Even the decorating is thoughtful. Every detail of this resturant has been well thought out. I purposely ordered a Margherita pizza because it's the OG of pizzas and its agreat litmus as to quality. They knocked it out of the park! PERFECT Woodfired crust, tangy sauce and home made mozzarella. Mouth HEAVEN! The cocktails are unique, delicious and lovely. Party in my mouth! #pookieapproved

Stating for the record that I hate going to Wausau. This place... makes me like it so much more. The food is great. The service is fantastic. They've changed their vibe over the years and I still think they are doing a great job
