We went there on 03/01/24The hostess was awesome, but i have to say that when we got there we were told that there was a 45 min wait, which on Friday night is to be expected, what became an issue was that after a half an hour there were three tables open and we were next in line. The waitress kept telling hostess to have us wait for the time we were advised to when we got there. We stood and waited for a additional 10 minutes while another table opened up, the hostess finally seated us because she did not want us to wait any longer. Those table sat empty for nearly 20 min, because the waitress said to have us wait because it was busy. We eat out frequenlty and we understand there will be a wait, but to have us stand there while multiple tables were open, was not good service. We really enjoyed the food and drinks bur were very disappointed they treated us like that.
Hubby and I had dinner there last night, I got the brisket sandwich and Hubby got the haddock sandwich. We were both impressed with how fast our food came. The peanut butter pie is die for and enjoyed the red ale rum punch too. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Brisket Sandwich
So we were excited but cautious ordering food from a newer restaurant this far outside of Portland. WOW... this is Portland food scene good, without the busy city and headache to get to, friggin win, win. We both ordered the Red City Rodeo Burger medium rare and my goodness were the burgers flavorful and actually medium rare. The bacon jam is as delicious as it sounds, the barbeque sauce is tasty and the FRIES they aren't steak fries or little bitty fries they're somewhere between chips and fries and they are phenomenal. We ordered takeout and it was a great experience with friendly staff, the atmosphere seems nice, with old photos from around Windham and Gorham and it was super cool to see a little bit of history in the old fire house, also excited to eat there in the summer when they have the garage doors open. Overall we are impressed and will be coming back, the food is worth repeat visits and we'll even eat in next time! Forgot to take pictures cause it was too tasty xD Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great food, service on point (sorry, don't remember your name). For GF Mac n chz, y'all nailed it. I added bacon and brisket and hot sauce 10 outta 10. Meatball app was good, duck wings good (not my fav, but decent, too tough for me), the Buffalo chx dip was awesome. Shepherds pie was good but not the favorite, Haddock sandwich was excellent. Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Mac and Cheese

First time at Red City Ale. Great ambiance and food delicious. Our server Alicia was great and attentive. We had soup & a chicken wrap. Both very good and the potato fries were unique and tasty. Love them. Need to warm the place up though. It was a cloudy day w/snow on the way,35 degrees. We'll definitely be back and can't wait to sit outside on the deck along the river. Restaurant extremely clean & cozy. Great job to the owner. Debbie D. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We are vegetarians! Our server wasn’t aware of the ingredients and we were told the kids pasta was vegetarian after checking with kitchen and then another server said it was not. We ended up with a sauce less pizza for kids and a yummy pasta and veggie burger! We enjoyed our meal! I just don’t feel confident in their dietary specific knowledge. Came last Friday on a rainy day so the garage doors were closed. Everyone had to wear a jacket as it was freezing inside. Service was good. Buffalo dip and onion rings were fire! EDIT** Went for dinner last nite. When we walked in I noticed people were wearing their jackets and some even had winter hats on. The entire wait staff were wearing sweatshirts. Place is still cold. Turn up the heat. Overall the food was amazing! Highly recommend the bang bang shrimp, brisket sandwich and pulled pork. Burger was too salty to eat. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
We went last night for a quick bite. The whole experience was phenomenal! The onion soup was to die for, the sandwiches were awesome. (Brisket and French Dip) and the fries were unique and delicious. Our server handled the whole room flawlessly! Someone had called out, but, she was attentive, friendly and not one bit rattled. The hostess and bartender pitched in to deliver meals. It's great to to see such great teamwork! I'm thrilled to have such a place so close to home!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great food, my wife loved her cocktail. Service was awesome. Venue was nice as well. Not my favorite choice of music genre but worth it for the rest. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Attended the soft opening and loved the atmosphere. Which includes indoor and outdoor seating beside the river. The food was delicious and drinks as well. Upbeat staff. I will definitely be going back. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
