I ordered the 4-piece ribs w baked beans and potato salad. The meat came right off the bone easily. The food tasted amazing. Great, fast friendly service at a great price! Definitely the best bbq in Norman too!!

Rib Dinner
No frills or anything spectacular. Ribs was nice and juicy but the brisket on the dry side. Order the mac and cheese that felt like it sat to room temperature and beans was okay at best.

Rib Dinner
I ordered ribs, brisket, collard greens, potato salad and coleslaw from this Ray’s location. The ribs were good, but the brisket was dry. I enjoyed all of the sides, especially the collard greens.

Love the food. People are great. Not totally happy about the price... everything is overpriced, for Norman. But, 4$ upcharge for a baked potato??? Potatoes still cost about 9 cents. I put up with it because the food is great, but it is way overpriced. Make no mistake about it.

Single Meat Plate 2 Sides BBQ Bread
For quality and flavor this is the place. All the meats are super delicious and consistent high quality. Sides are also excellent. I usually get sliced brisket plate comes with 2 sides. My favorite sides are the baked beans and fried okra. Service and cleanliness are very good also. Love the food and people here this is why I keep coming back for more.
The baked potato w brisket was good but not amazing, needed spicy bbq sauce to make it better. The baked beans were delicious! Those beans are the best thing this place offers! The tea is good, fried okra is good, mac and cheese is ok. Dry sliced brisket. The biggest disappointment of this establishment is that the owner steals the employees tips that are digital. They never will see them. You have to tip them cash and they are lucky to even receive that. It's such a shame to know that an owner would do this to their staff who run HIS restaurant. He also apparently will fire them for small meaningless things and multiple of the staff members are terrified of him because they need their jobs to support themselves. Please make sure to CASH tip the staff and make sure the owner doesn't see you do it so they can get the money they deserve! Bless these wonderful staff members because they truly deserve it!

I always tell myself Im going to try something different but Im stuck on the ribs and brisket. Their meat is always moist and tender with the right amount of smoky flavor before you even add any sauce. I can never decide on hot or mild sauce so I get 1 of each to go with my meal. The smokehouse beans, greens and okra with their house ranch are my favorite sides.

I hate writing negative reviews. .. There though this was the driest brisket I have ever had. The barbecue sauces were extremely sweet. The turkey was almost as dry as the brisket. The brisket fell apart and not in a good way. Beef jerky has more moisture than the brisket here. The fries and beans were the only things palatable. I was close to asking for a refund. The only positive about the place was its cleanliness. Good social distancing and of you want to do keto here u can as long as u keep away from the barbecue sugar sauce. Also the brisket had almost no smoke. Would not go back.
