*Updated Review* Paper change is to no avail. Barra still sticks to paper and is very thin, also has a soggy/crispy texture, too crispy on the outer edges where there is no channa and way too soggy on the inside. Changing the paper was a very commendable effort but an effort in vain if you don't plan on making a few more minor alterations. I would like to suggest you change the channa recipe by thickening the sauce, and simply timing how long you fry the barra. You and your employees have years of experience serving this food and at a cost price of $4.00 each from $3.00 initially, I think these things shouldn't have to be an issue, the quality should be making up for the size.
I personally like the taste of the doubles here but everyone I know complains about it. The taste is okay for me and their pepper is very good but something needs to be done about the barra sticking to the paper, not only does the barra stick to the paper but it is also very thin to the point where it usually has holes in it and overall for the price the doubles are rather small, I've been to places where the doubles cost $3.00 and were much bigger. If most of these issues were corrected if not all these would be the best doubles in the Maharaj Hill area.
Missing salt in the channa and since Vishal and Ravi's mum..no longer there..the chutney doesn't taste all that good. Not much condiments..only pepper, chutney..probably roast pepper and cucumber now and then.
Great for a quick bite and a case of diarrhoea.
