If you read a review please let it be this one! My fiance, my brother and I made a whole day trip yesterday to try canes for the first time! This was also our first time in Lansing we are from the Kalamazoo area so the drive was an hour to an hour and a half and with the hype around this chicken i was defiantly expecting some good chicken but Id rather go to Lees or wing stop. The chicken is outrageously priced (about $2 a piece). The chicken itself had no flavor as if the breading wasn't seasoned all the flavor came from the sauce and even that was ok not the best. We did go in when it seemed a little busy but it was done in abt 10 mins so i have no complaints but the food isnt worth the price, hype, or worth the trip. Not to mention having to park far away because of the parking. We ordered the 25 piece and it was breading on the chicken was soggy when we finally found outdoor seating (not even 15 mins after it was done) Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
Whenever I eat that other Southern chicken joint, I leave hungry. Cane's has a sandwich that fills you up. The flavor and crisp texture both beat any other chicken sandwich by a long shot. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
