Our favorite meal on the island. Amazing and luxurious food experience. Each course was delicious and plated beautifully. Definitely do the wine pairings. Get there before dusk so you can walk around the grounds! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fish
An excellent fancy dinner experience on Sao Miguel, Azores! The entrance is unassuming, but the food and the atmosphere is worth it. It feels like you are eating all alone in a family dining room; the food is hearty, delicious, and tasty! They offer a 5-course surprise tasting menu (changes daily) for €60 and had a good wine pairing for only €30 more. Worth the stop! You need reservations: email or WhatsApp the restaurant for reservations well in advance. They only offer one seating each night. If you want a special food experience in the Azores - this is the one! A cozy farm-to-table experience where you feel you've been welcomed into a gorgeous family home for an incredible meal. I love that they encourage you to explore their gardens and farm property with a drink in hand making you feel extra connected to the meal. Everything was prepared with such passion and care and I loved almost every dish (if pickled fish isn't your thing, I recommend letting them know that in your preferences before arrival 😉). The cute cats were an added bonus to this wholesome dinner. Book ahead! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Now this is a unique food experience; the meal, the service, the atmosphere, all incredible! The second we walked in, we knew we were in for something wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and you can just walk around at any point in the meal, with wine glass in hand, of course. The set menu is made from all local ingredients, and had some very unique things. My favorites were the mackerel (so tender!), the Japanese turnip soup, the beakfish (I had never heard of this, but it was prepared incredibly), and the chocolate lava cake with strawberry sorbet dessert. Each plate came out with great timing and was beautiful just to look at. The service was of course very attentive. What an experience! What a magical place. Farm-to-table tasting menu. The host was very welcoming and super-nice. She made clear to us that they are not chefs, just farmers who cook from their crops. The food was great, we enjoyed every dish. Reserve ahead.
This is one of the best meals I have ever had. Farm to table indeed! This is one of those Top Chef experiences that others should get the chance to have. I have been to many countries. Portugal in the Azores has delivered! Everyone was super nice. Every dish was spot on. Literally everything on the plate was perfect. Every little detail. I cannot brag enough. This is the meal to end all meals. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

An adorable farm with a charming host, Ines. We loved the food and atmosphere so much we went twice. They invite the customers to be part of the farm-to-table experience with access to the entire farm before the meal begins. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We walked in without reservation, which is - so I heard later - very unusual to get a table here. There is a fixed 6 course menu for €50. Normally this takes 2 hours. We walked in around 21:30h and the place closes at 23:00h, but ok let's do this. White table cloth and lots of cutlery, but also people with walking sandels and jeans eat here. Nice atmosphere in room with fire place, some old decorative items and images. The tapas were pretty nice, courgette soup a bit thin/dull, fish with potatoes and beurre blanc was nice, meat with rice great - which came with some sting beans, I mean you are a good chef if you can make those taste good! Desert was chocolate cake with strawberry sorbet ice cream. All pretty good, we felt lucky to have bumped into this place accidently. No michelin experience, but good. Bigger meat portion would have been nice. They asked about allergies. Open kitchen. Wine comes on top; house wine white was not so tasty to my humble opinion. Dead flies at window frame should be removed. Cash and card payment possible. Very friendly staff. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+

A special treat. A lot of reviews say that the best meal on the island can be enjoyed here. I can confirm that it lives up to the hype, as we enjoyed our best dinner on Sao Miguel here. Super fresh ingredients, exciting flavours, a cozy atmosphere and friendly/professional staff made for an unforgettable evening. Do yourself a favour and reserve well in advance, because this place should not be missed. Suitable for vegetarians. Let them know you need a vegetarian menu ahead of time and they will cook up 5 delicious vegetarian dishes.

5 of my family including 3 teens went there for dinner. We didn’t expect what they offer. We were all really impressed by every dishes they brought it out. 3 of my boys also were giving up their phone and really enjoyed all the foods for more than 2 hours. I will definitely come back if I visit Sao Miguel next time and can recommend to any one. Top services from the entry to exit! They do take card payment.
