Love that you can casually dine among greenery inside or out! The sandwich I ended up with (turkey, cranberry sauce, sage aioli on a brioche bun) was absolutely excellent but they do have a bit of an issue with the food listed on the menu not matching that days actual dishes. I had to return an egg dish when it came with three vegetables I can’t eat.

A small cafe with a decent amount of outdoor seating. They have a selection of simple salads, sandwiches, soups, and baked goods. I had the Asian Chicken Salad which was good though very simple.
I was impressed that they had rugelach among their baked goods

Honestly? This is somehow worse than airport food. Prices are extremely high for simply average food - deeply disappointing. I would actually rather pay MORE for food that suits the beautiful surroundings. Everything is served in to go cups. Salads and bowls are in compostable to go boxes. Pastries are rock hard and freezing unless you ask for them to be microwaved and warmed up.
I’m a member and get a small discount and even then, I feel like I’m being ripped off - hot water and an apple tart was $7.95.
Come on, Filoli. You could make this into a BEAUTIFUL, delightful part of the experience, and instead it’s universally a let down. Your patio and dining area are ethereal in ways most cafes would struggle to achieve, yet you cheapen both by making people feel so ripped off the only logical assumption is that you don't want actually want them to patronize the cafe. A literal taco truck would be better.
The Ramaytush Ohlone, the Bourns, and the Roths alike would be horrified.
