Wonderful sushi in every way. The fish was incredibly fresh, each piece presented with its own subtle garnish that acented the flavor without overwhelming the taste. Great selection of local beers. Personable service by husband and wife team. Highly Recommend.

The lady boss was really kind to let me try their sake before deciding on a drink, and they are super friendly with great customer service.

A real serendipitous find in Tainan!! Definitely don’t overlook this little food truck, it serves amazing, restaurant-quality sushi (with western fusion)! Akiyama puts real love and labor into the food he makes for sure :)

An opportunistic but very fortuitous find!
This cute little outdoor Japanese place has the most phenomenal sushi I’ve had in a while. But the part that seals the deal is the phenomenal people running the store who go out of their way to make the experience amazing.

We were looking for izakaya for dinner, but it's all fully booked. so we just walked around and saw Akiyama Sushi beside street runs by very friendly couple . very delicious with reasonable price. Definitely 5 stars. BTW only Sat open.
Can't recommend enough! Highlights include:
- excellent and creative food, from the sushi (we had uramaki, hand rolls, and sashimi) to appetizers, homemade condiments, and more
- a clearly well-trained chef, who was excited to tell us all about what he made
- friendly and hospitable service from the chef and his family, even going so far as to bring us some complementary items to try
- large portions as far as sushi goes, so very reasonable prices for what you get
- topped off by carefully curated sake offerings

I love this place and can't wait to take my wife there too. I'm drooling just thinking of the food Mr. Akiyama artfully produces. Great service and awesome people. Can't go wrong here for a night out eating superb sushi with delicious drinks!
