I can say one thing if I can give zero I definitely would. We waited 35 minutes for 6 papusas that never showed up. I don’t mind the wait it was the fact that they served pupusas to a couple when they came in 10 minutes after we waited. Remind you we waited over 35 minutes. They never gave our food so after that we walked out. The employees don’t dress professional they don’t have the proper restaurant outfit instead they wore low cut party dress and were super loud in the back kitchen. Also before we entered the restaurant I smelled smoke that was so strong. I’ve gone to a lot of Spanish restaurants but I’m never stepping foot in this place again. Go to another restaurant for your food not this one
I walked in greeted in Spanish and was pleasantly surprised right away the waitress picked up that I spoke English and helped me without the discomfort I've gotten from other places when I had this type of interaction. They were very nice and patient while helping slightly with the menu. I don't know if they took a long time with my order, I ordered to go and went next door to the Asian market where me and my little one explored a little so we may have been in there a little while. When we returned our food was ready. I didn't get a picture but IT WAS GREAT!!! we ordered papusas, the carnitas plate and plantains with eggs 🤤. Everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly, even the carnitas had the perfect crisp:juiciness ratio. I was worried about how the rice may taste because it had peas and other veggies in it but it was so good as well so much so I didn't even get to my papusas but my little one devoured hers and said it was good (kind of mad she didn't ask if I wanted a bite lol). I'm not sure about authenticity but I'm from Cali and have traveled and this tastes similar if not better than a lot of others I've tried. Even the cabbage served with the papusas was great and I don't usually like that. It's a hole in the wall place but with a bar and a lot of food to choose from so even though I'm only here for four days I may be back!
