Old Hilo Town vibe. Local bento diner at Bay Front. Decided to eat in. There is about 3 tables for seating. Bentos are made. So grab n go seems like a convenient Local Japanese Fusion stop. I got the Seafood Plate and the Chicken Katsu. Side note. Ordered fries on the side. They are large potatoe wedeges. I enjoyed them. Some people are particular about fries. FYI.. Solid food here. Great place to grab a quick bite on the main road in Hilo. The service was excellent. The lady cleaned our table thoroughly. We had the combination plate of BBQ chicken and shrimp tempura. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Absolutely the best chicken katsu I’ve ever had. Nice big portions for a great price. It looked and smelled so good that I forgot to take a picture before I ate a bunch of it.

The food here is great. The service is great. There's only 3 tables so you're probably better off getting takeout. The rice here stole the show. The falafel pita was pretty good though difficult to eat. They were out of a few items as well. The rice and service keep this place at 5 🌟

Great portion size for the price. We got the katsu don and the rice/salad were good. The katsu itself didn't blow our minds, as the actual meat was very thin. Good meal in general. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Food was ok, but the waitress is a racist. Though I am fluent in English and have no problem communicating in English, she didnt say hi when we walked in (only to us), didnt answer my question nor respond to my thank you. I changed my order which she confused with my husband's- and as she never wanted to confirm my orders or communicate with me, of course she messed up my orders and then blamed me for it out loud. Worst experience in Hawaii. She really wasnt worth a penny of tip. If you are a non-local asian tourist, just dont go. We got the sautéed lamb plate which was DELICIOUS. So tender & flavorful. The rice was amazing as well as the salad. The lady, who I believe owns the place, was so sweet. If we weren’t leaving today, we’d be back!

I really enjoy there food, there Lamb dish is good my grandsons really like there chicken katsu. There bento dishes sell out if you don't get there early. Its a hole in the wall kinda place but good food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Best quick bite around. It is not cheap, but it also super yummy and inexpensive compare to other places in town. Chicken katsu is $13, the lamb combo $18, is some of the best lamb I had, I usually don't like them. Rice is super good as well. Highly recommended.
