Southgate Publix Great shopping experience. Just remember Season means many customers ....so plan accordingly.
Great staff and Manager
Well stocked and a lot of great fresh veggies and deli. Prime rib was outstanding for Christmas dinner.
As always though season brings plenty more people so pick a good time to shop to avoid the crunch of shoppers , parking, and available popular foods.
Great hard working staff ready to help you find what you need.
Love this store and manager.
Karla was kind, thoughtful and respectful to needs of customers. This big store seems to run smoother and better than smaller one in town.
All employees work very hard and are great help to customers .
I love public I had work for this company and they are the best .. I did work for them but I left in good turn giving them my two week notice I had work in the deli department… if I would work for them again in the future I would love to be a cashier or a beggar 😆♥️
Love the food in the deli! Great for taking home for lunch or dinner. Wings are really good, all the hot food we've tried from the deli is really good. Only rating four stars because the grocery prices are a bit high. Deli prices are well worth it for the quality.
I stopped by Publix yesterday to get three items. The parking lot was full except for two pickup spots. Being a regular Publix customer I pulled into one of them since I woukd only be there for a few mintues. When I got out of my car, I was verbally attacked by a Publix employee named Ingrid. She asked if I was there to pick something up. I said yes, groceries. She said you can't park there because that is for pickups only. I said, I'm sure they won't tow me. She hollered, we should tow you. I said, that's no way to talk to a regular customer. She said, I'll talk to you anyway I want to. I asked her name. She said Ingrid, and go ahead and complain about me, you crybaby. What a disgrace to this business she is! No employee should ever talk to a loyal customer that way. I spoke with the Customer Service manager and explained what happened. Ingrid all of the sudden appeared and the manager asked her to leave. She started laughing as she walked around the corner. So rude, so unprofessional! An employee like this makes me never want to step foot in that store, again
Wouldn’t cash my lottery ticket which I bought from them a min before hand ,because I didn’t have my id on me, the management are incapable of using common sense to determine this grown man with a full beard is of age to cash a lottery ticket, but he doesn’t need one to buy… management is a joke…
What can I say? It's Publix! Of course it's wonderful. All the employees are helpful. The store is clean. Their produce is usually top notch. And it's probably the only grocery store that I trust buying sushi from. 100% recommended.
Had a little misunderstanding today with Publix staff about perishable items in our shopping cart. One of those small things in life that can aggravate when there are so many other stressors. Many thanks to Karla for her kindness in helping smooth things over - really made a difference and was sincerely appreciated. (And Karla, $450 in grocercies today so I wasn't exaggertating too much.)
Great store, but bad deli experience. I ordered a specialty sub, and asked that it be made per the recipe. The woman who made it had no clue what she was doing. For example, if someone ask for a beef mushroom sub, and you later find turkey and ham on it, that's pure incompetence. Please train folks to read & make the specialty sub the way its advertised, or send them to work a different area.
I usually have a good experience at this Publix, but not today. They had a lot of BOGOs going on that I wanted to get. I picked up two Jars of Helman’s mayo which the sign said BOGO, but I was charged full price for the two. I went up to the Customer Service desk and that is when things went south. They were not very friendly, one person only was doing Lotto’s so I wasted time standing in that line, went to the next person and they didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. Asked for a Manager but after some hesitation from the CSU person I decided to just leave. Please fix your CSU desk!
