A decent place for Saturday brunch!
We came here during Saturday mid-morning without advanced reservations and we were able to grab a seat without a problem. Plenty of parking spaces were available outside as well.
The café is quite cozy with a friendly atmosphere and deep appreciation for its regular guests (that is shown by the many pictures hanging on the walls all around). It's a dinner style café, meaning you get served at the table but you have to pay your bill at the cashier desk. The service is nice, attentive and friendly to its customers.
I did enjoy the Greek omelet - basically a standard omelet with tomatoes and spinach, filled with pieces of feta cheese. It was very well done and tasty. However the homefries, as a side dish, were awful - something that should be taken out from the menu I believe. They were blunt, burned and very mushy, almost like eating 3 days old cooked potatoes! I could not finish it even though I was super hungry!
Banana walnut french toast was, however, a great way to forget about the homefries aftertaste. I loved the fact I could pour as much maple syrup over as I wanted!
I was a bit disappointed that only regular coffee was on the menu, no milk based alternatives such as cappuccino or flat white were an option.
Even though it's a nice place with good food for a very reasonable price I will not be returning, as this is not my style of dining.

Had a great breakfast at Poppi's. The vegetable omelet was very large and tasted great. The prices are reasonable. The server was very good, attentive when needed.

Different Cheesesteak #906. My string of good stops continues. It was 10 am so I asked if they had a cheesesteak and egg sandwich, it wasn’t on the menu but they made it for me. A wonderful young woman took my order. I went with her suggestions, provolone cheese, home fries and peppers and onions on the home fries. Great suggestions and a great meal for $9. Nice fresh traditional roll. Good amount of good meat. The eggs were mixed in nicely. The cheesesteak had very good balance.
Clean, friendly staff, delicious breakfast!
Consistently good food and service. Can't say enough about this place. Friendly folks and friendly patrons.

This is the sixth time I've been to Poppi's Cafe... and we live over 16 miles away in West Chester!
I don't know which is more outstanding, the friendly and attentive service or the excellent menu.
Once again I got the incredibly tasty Greek Omelette and substituted the fresh fruit (or sliced tomatoes) for the carb-loaded home-fries.
And the fresh fruit is not from a can but is delicious fresh- cut seasonal fruit.
And being right across the intersection from St. Dorothy's, where my husband is often part of the music ministry, it's an after Mass gem!

Poppi’s Café is a classic Breakfast and Lunch Café located at the Township Line Shopping Center in Drexel Hill. It is a bright and friendly place with great food, ample parking, professional service and very reasonable prices. They have table seating and a tempting desert menu.
On the chilly, overcast March morning that we visited, the warm and inviting atmosphere quickly chased away the gloom. We were seated immediately, with menus, at a freshly cleaned table and had delicious, rich coffee served within moments. Poppi’s Café appreciates their customers so much that they will happily take your picture and hang it on the wall. And the walls are covered with framed photographs. What a great way to connect with their customers!
The menu and prices at Poppi’s Café are exactly what you expect from a classic Breakfast and Lunch Café. Service is fast and my coffee cup never reached the half way point before someone was there to refill it. My Western Omelet came out so hot and yummy, that I almost burned my mouth eating it. You can expect breakfast for two to cost about $20 and don’t forget to leave a nice tip. We will definitely return to Poppi’s Café in the future.

Service was great as always. Food wasn’t as good as it normally is. The chipped beef was not good and tasted gluey. Breakfast sandwich was ok.

Greek Omelette with Fresh Fruit
As a longtime customer (7 years), I’m so disappointed with the meal I received on Monday May 15.
I ordered a mushroom omelette with pepper cheese, spinach with a side of grits and turkey sausage. There was No cheese and the spinach was placed on top of the omelette like it was an afterthought.
All the mushrooms where in one area of the omelette. And the grits were not cooked.
This was all take out which I had to cook the grits. I called to let them know and I got “oh I’m sorry. I wasn’t here yesterday”. No offer to make it good.
You, Poppis use yo have fabulous customer service and great cooks. On to the next diner. Shame!!
UPDATE: I’m updating this review to a 5. It was a mishap that day and thanks to the owner, they made everything good again. To the owner, I didn’t expect that, but thank you. That is great customer service!
