We've ordered out a family meal a few times because it's a convenient location. They have screwed up our orders every time with items missing. I wouldn't dream of eating there. Needless to say, the prices are just plain nuts. Even their "deals" - it's a very rare event if they ever have any good deals on the app. But beyond that, this location must have the highest employee turnover rate of any business in Pottstown. I've encountered more miserable to downright hostile employees here than any other business I can think of. Anywhere. And since they hire from the same local area every other business in town does, I doubt it's the area that's the real problem. When your service is distinctly worse than other establishments, when your employees look like they're hating every minute - the problem is the Management. Always. Service Take out Meal type Lunch

I've been going to the drive-through at this location and experiencing totally absurd wait times, so I went inside to order at the counter, to try and see what's going on. Now I fully understand it. First off, they are not "short staffed"; there were at least eight people working. The problem is simply that the employees do NOT want to be there, and they don't give a damn who knows it. The cooks had two full trays of cooked chicken, one mild and one spicy, on the warmer ready to go. I also counted 27 biscuits and dozens of side dishes... food preparation was not the problem. There were FOUR employees working customer service behind the counter and none of them were grabbing chicken and filling orders. Literally zero. Two of them just stood around doing nothing, just staring at the floor for minutes at a time. Eventually a guy came out from the back and started asking people what, precisely, they were doing before realizing the reality was "absolutely nothing" and then issuing specific instructions. I watched for around ten minutes before getting impatient and walking up to the counter and staring at them until the ostensible manager could no longer ignore my forced eye contact and asked me if I was being helped. I told him I was waiting for "number 36" per my receipt and he asked me for my name. I informed him that I didn't give a name to the cashier and he looked totally bewildered (she never asked for my name... I don't think she said any words at all honestly.) After three or four more minutes I got the order. The food is fine I suppose... it's just fried chicken and not nearly as good as everyone pretends it is, but it's certainly not bad. In any event, all of the non-cook kids working here must be summarily fired; they don't want to be there anyway. Update: I gave them another chance today and it seems as if some manager took my advice, whether directly or indirectly, and got rid of every single employee who was here previously. The service is an order of magnitude more professional now.

This place is the worst. The gross looking food in this photo isn't even what I ordered. I didn't actually get what I ordered. Then they refused to provide a refund, instead trying to give me credit over and over again to drag me alone while constantly failing to deliver the correct order. Totally got the wrong order, where getting extra food was nice it was nothing that I ordered and I didn't realize till it was unpacked at home. I didn't have time or energy to go back, but it was so frustrating and annoying. It's not hard when a reaturaunt isn't busy to have orders correct. I got my food pretty quick, and there was a guy and his son in front of me, a family inside eating and someone came in after me! The guy who took my order was great, his name was Jesse! He was so nice and friendly and gave me my order as well and seemed happy and it's nice to see in a fast food place! It was also clean, not a mess, which is nice to see as well ! Every single solitary time I've been to this location, they've managed to screw up the order in one way or another. I'm generally very understanding but when it's EVERY visit, there's no defending it. Sides missing, wrong sauce, no biscuit, rude employees, etc. Will not ever go back. Ordered the original crispy chicken sandwich through DoorDash and it was ridiculously undercooked, literally pink and chewy, I had to spit it out and order a refund. Unsafe and unprofessional for a chicken joint to be this lax with their safe handling and cooking procedures. Will not be ordering from Norristown Popeyes again, not worth the salmonella.
