I had a night at the pool side bar of Sheraton Hotel and it was fun mostly because of the DJ and a few ladies who were celebrating a birthday, apart from that it was boring. The pool bar doesn't probably have a lot of guests but even at that the staff do not seem to be able to handle most requests. They seemed clueless most times.
I requested cocktail options and was told the only cocktail they have was long Island, that was funny tho. Also the food wasn't great. I ordered for chicken with a side and plantain, the chicken wasn't properly seasoned, beyond the skin of salt and groundnut pepper, it was tasteless and the the rice tasted stale. The plantain was good, it would have been a disaster if they couldn't get the plantain right. My wife ordered for noodles in chicken and Shrimps sauce but it wasn't great either.
For drinks we had Zobo and that was okay actually. At about 8pm the DJ packed up and it was back to boring, Whoever was now in charge played westlife all through the rest of the evening 😴
It's very possible I went on a wrong night and ordered the wrong things but I expected more from a Sheraton Pool Bar

The Pool Bar & Restaurant (PBR) at Sheraton Abuja is a lovely place to relax. It opens from 11am to 11pm everyday. Their drinks are usually very cold and there is always ice cube. Every order of drinks peanuts are served, until you tell them to stop serving it.
There are two reasons why the PBR is not getting full marks. Their serving of drinks and food is sometimes slow. The process of the waiters/waitresses collecting the customers orders at the bar is slow. It needs to be improved. The staff are very friendly and always want to please their customers.
The other reason is the amount of mosquitoes at the PBR is unacceptable. It seems to me as if mosquitoes were bred their. I reported to several managers, who accepted that it is so. They told me that they would fumigate regularly and the usually have this problem annually.
