Great place to get a drink. Very nice people that run it!!!
Atmosphere & Patrons were great and fun. The bartender that night was not looking at all happy to be there and was no fun.

As soon as you walk in the door you are one of the regulars and the owner Bart adopt you into his family. Great place to stop for a quick refresher or catch the game. Go Hawks!! Be certain to check out the back patio, now that is Northeast Iowa.
Fantastic place! Happy folks that make entering this establishment welcoming! There's music & darts & other entertainment that makes this place very enjoyable! Well worth the visit!

It's a small town bar. The people are friendly and the beer is cold. Just enjoy it for what it is, an enjoyable stop everytime
So, the address is wrong. It's more like 270 Main Street. A bar and ice cream shop combined between 2 store fronts.OK, so now to describe this place..... Wow. It is definitely one of the weirdest buildings I've ever been in. First off, the bar area. Hmmm. Well, there were space heaters around the bar, because the building had no heat/insulation. Then, there was no tap beer. Just bottles or cans. Keep in mind, no taps, AT A BAR. The obligatory tv showing sports was about a 22 inch tube tv. So from the mid-90s. Further back from the bar was the area for 'live music'. The walls were blackboards, so you could write messages with chalk (which admittedly is a cool idea). There was a shop-vac on stage, one foot sized mirrorball and the soundboard area HAD DOLL HEADS STARING OUT AT YOU. If you went through the curtain partition you'd get the back area of the ice cream shop, and apparently used to be a arcade. There was one pool table (in not great condition). And a baby crib next to that. In a non-heated building. Under a beer girl cutout advert from the mid '80s. So, yeah....And in the whole place, it was hard to find 2 matching chairs. On the positives, the beer was cheap, plus you got a free drink if you used the ATM. The people there were really appreciative of your business, they were were trying. But we were asked what type of music we liked, said Bob Dylan, and then were treated to Miley Cyrus. Not quite the same thing. Pocket City Pub is going to take A LOT of work in order to make presentable, but in its current form - this hodgepodge of random crap and things that just don't belong, it is so compelling that it's almost difficult to want them to change. Besides the heat. They need to get some heating. It sucks to play pool wearing your winter jacket, gloves, and stocking cap.
