A fairytale esque little cart/kiosk in the Tansy lot, Plantate is a welcome change to the normal coffee spots in the area. Latin and woman owned, the drink menu is inspired from the cultural roots and definitely elevates it above the neighboring cafes.
While I had the cafe de olla, I found it to be a bit too overpowering. Though typically cafe de olla is strong coffee that’s left in a pot all day, so I shouldn’t complain when it’s authentic. Still I wish I could taste more of the other ingredients within.
We also tried a Pumpkin spice cold brew that my friend loved and I had a delicious churro croissant that I still dream about.
The area has plenty of seating and the decor matches perfectly with that of the worldly Tansy store it sits in.
Plenty of street parking around, so I highly recommend coming in to check it out!
