About
At this bar, you may order nicely cooked cheese steaks, chicken wings and prawns. In accordance with the visitors' opinions, waiters offer good beer or good wine. Clients don't like coffee at P J Harrigans Bar & Grill. This place is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices are affordable for the quality you receive. The fine decor and pretty atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. But this spot hasn't got a high rating from Google users.

Service was slow. The food took 35-40 minutes to come out for 4 meals. Our server must've been new so we did complain to the bartender who was a manager and she did take some stuff off the bill which was appreciated. This place is a dumpster fire. Staff walks around in circles not knowing what to do or how to do it. We sat at the bar for over 15 mins without anyone helping us. Servers and staff came and went but no one made eye contact and wanted to serve us. The bar and restaurant were NOT busy but poorly managed, trained and lacking any idea of how to run a bar/restaurant. We eventually left without being served. The portions were huge and priced decent. The burger was very tasty and the Philly steak sandwich was great as well. Prince was the bartender/waiter was very knowledgeable. Great customer service. Yetty and Kerry were wonderful and caring as well. Always making sure we had everything we wanted and needed. Excellent customer service. Made you feel really welcomed. Would definitely recommend and go again.
Went here with my family typically really good food. But had a limited menu due to just opening back up. My soda was flat that's my only complaint. Food was good.
Harrigan's was cheerful with live entertainment. I ordered the shrimp Po Boy and it was amazing. I truly enjoyed the food. Our server for the night was very considerate and attentive. Absolutely no complaints from me.
Comfortable place for comfort food. The seats (booths or tables) and comfortable and the food was surprisingly tasty for a casual restaurant linked to a hotel around here. I was staying nearby and ate here twice in a week... a chicken buffalo cheesesteak was super tasty (and on good bread) and the fish and chips were great. Husband said his burger was fine. Sometimes service was a bit slow (and one drink order was wrong but was promptly fixed) but the staff were friendly, which went a long way.

Staffing and management issues- bad. In State College visiting family and staying at the attached Ramada. Tried to call down to do a takeout order but it rang busy 3 times in a row- ah screw it I'll just go down. The nice lady behind the bar told me she couldn't hear the phone as it was at the host station when I asked about the busy signal. She was doing her best but clearly they gave her no host and no phone at the bar. I guess they just stopped having a phone dunno. Kitchen was backed up. About 35-40 minutes later i got my burger and fries, the fries were cold. No condiments on the burger- no ketchup or napkins in the bag. Skip this one. Maybe it's fun to drink here dunno. Some people looked like they were having fun. I don't blame the employees, I blame whoever is managing this mess.
I was not impressed at all. Very limited hours and days open. 4-9 on Tuesday- Saturday. Ordered a sampler appetizer, it took a substantial amount of time, and the chicken tenders were overcooked and tasted like old fryer grease, the whole sampler wasn’t very hot, got our salads, the lettuce was wilted and warm, the dressing was oily looking. I think the mayonnaise sits on the tables all day, ugh. The waitress was not very energetic and a little slow getting orders and food out. Not many people having meals, more people sitting at the bar than anything. Not a returning customer!
The food is decent, and often the portions are large, so you have enough for two meals. The decor is neat with various sports and historical paraphernalia around the dining room. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips
