I agree with Steve ...just meh.... i went there with my family and we ordered four deep dish pizzas... the pizzas were a poor imitation of Pequod's... the cheese on the crust was burned into carbon rather than Pequod's cheesy carmelized goodness. Anyway, besides just mediocre pizza it cost some ungodly amount for pizza...like well over 100 bucks. something like 120 with tip. Speaking of tips, what for? you order at the counter... The service was also lackluster...we waited for about 15mn just standing around waiting for a table to open up ....then when it did the waitress snipped at us for sitting at a dirty table...when she didn't come and clean it for something like 15mn. Clearly understaffed. I suspect when that happens that something isn't happening right management wise. Further, If i pay that much for mediocre pizza it felt like adding insult to injury. Unfortunately this is about the fourth time in a row with just a meh result...cannot for the life of me understand the high ratings below. There is just much better pizza to be had at Verita and other places to pay the same amount or more for Pizza 44...i can make Chicago style better than that. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Called in an order for a pizza Margherita. Went inside and stood behind a couple that used the kiosk to order their food. Stood there for 5 min while the pizza crew behind the bar made food. Not one of them acknowledged me in any fashion even though i made eye contact a couple of times. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use the kiosk to check in so I poked around on that for a minute unable to find that so I backed up and stood there another five. Finally the waiter came by (after dealing with his 2 tables) and asked if I was picking up. He was polite enough, checked me out and I waited a few more minutes for him to grab my pizza. If cooks are front and center to patrons it should be pretty simple to say hello or nod or maybe perhaps say someone will be right with me. Brought the pizza out and it was basically a sauce pie. It barely had any basil on it, a couple of pieces only had one flake of basil lol, and the cheese slices covered maybe 25% of the pizza. It was Pretty disappointing, you can't even taste the cheese! The only reason I even tipped at the end was because I'm a guilt tipper and the waiter was pleasant. The industrial atmosphere is cool but I wouldn't recommend eating there unless you like being ignored. Aside from the waiter being courteous, the rest of the staff all looked snobby and depressed Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Pretty mediocre dining experience start to finish. We’ve gotten take out before and it’s been ok, so decided to try dining in this time. Ordered salad, meatballs, a bbq chicken pizza, and a couple glasses of wine. Pizza came out suspiciously quick (before the wine) and it was lukewarm, not crispy whatsoever, and overly doughy. It had the consistency of a microwaved slice of two-day old pizza. Actually one of the worst pizzas I’ve had in a while. Maybe they had pizzas pre-made or something? Meatballs were not great either, kind of cat food-ish. For over $80, it seemed like a lot of corners were cut and the quality was severely lacking. Every time we try this place we’re reminded of why we don’t eat here that often, despite living a block away. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

This is the best pizza I have had since I moved to VT 6 months ago. The cast iron skillet pizza was unreal. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
