First time at Pita Wheel and I must say the young man that was at the front was great! Great attitude & service. We tried the fried pickle Philly with fries and the cucumber salad, it was pretty good, we could've used some more sauce on the sandwiches. Also tried the Buffalo chicken nachos and those were really good! Will be back again

The day after Xmas me and the man were in the Belmont area and looking around for a place to go. Nellies had no reservations until almost 12, so we tried the Pita Wheel. Walking in there was a horrifying smell that was very much like backed up sewage. Nothing will put me off food faster ! As we walked into the restaurant, the smell eased off. We ordered the Fried Pickles and pitas when I went to wash my hands. The smell was back in the hallway going outside and restrooms near the kitchen.
The man got the Chicken Philly and I chose the Buffalo Chicken... Mine was a touch spicier than I normally like but the representation was great. Lots of juicy chicken with the sauce swirled around through the bread. The Man's Philly had great flavor and will probably be my choice next time we go.
The service was a little ...it was good... the drinks were never low and the food came out hot. I would say zealous? We got there right after opening and the place filled up as we finished. It is probably wrong to complain about a great server when so many places don't, yet there should be a balance.
This week, I saw that Belmont has a severe sewage issue that day with the Chronicle (just around the corner) having puddles in the ground floor apartments. So glad I waited before posting.
I loved the Warhol-esque atmosphere. Just a nice place to enjoy good food !

Buffalo Chicken Pita with Onion Rings
Ventured out to eat here again. My son ordered the Cheech & Chong pita and said it was delicious, although he had to ask for more fried pickles as he found only 3 pieces. "No problem!" He also downed a SMORES Shake himself, and loved it. I had the El Guapo burger, and it was well dressed and had a nice blend of flavors. The bacon was crispy & meaty - no fat. The seasoned fries were a bit salty, just the way I like them. Hubby had the MAD GREEK salad, devoured it, and didn't even share one bite! This trip was better than the first. Kathryn's smile and prompt service added to our enjoyment. Thank you.

We visited here before but never the Belmont, NC location. Definitely impressed, I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pita with onion rings, and my wife got the Steak and Pimento pita with fries. It was very tasty, the service was good and they had a great music selection. The overall look of the place was cool, we would definitely eat here again.

We were able to sit outside with no wait at all. The seating is a bit odd. The tables are narrow, which is ok, but the bench seats are a little too far away from the tables and all bolted to the floor.
The food was great, basic casual meal of pitas, fried pickles, and wings. Our server was attentive and friendly. We’ll be back soon.

Super fast!! I has the Grecian pita with onion rings 🤤. The pita was so flavorful! Beyond friendly starting with the beautiful hostess. My server was informative and quick! Definitely a must try! The vibe is like a cool, upscale, diner/drive in lol love it!

Horrible service horrible food I went all the way back to correct my order. They found they did not originally had the item on the ticket. They then charged me for the difference for when they forgot to place the food on the original ticket. Now our family’s food is cold. The falafel is not consumable (very dry and shaped like a football) HORRIBLE NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!!!

Excited to have a PW in Belmont.
Having replaced Glenway and competing with the other locations; it’s got a lot to live up to.
Friendly staff and tasty food with a fun atmosphere.
I would like to see bigger portion sizes for the price.
Also, in two visits I have yet to sit in a comfortable seat. The benches outside hold large crowds but I feel like I’m sitting directly on a wooden bench.
(I believe the Gastonia location has similar ones but this is a different scenario given how it’s on a deck.
Small qualms but nothing that can’t be easily switched up.

Visited Belmont today. Restaurant is NOT ADA FRIENDLY. It is tight spaced and cramped with little room for wheelchair. Food was not good at all. It seemed very pre-prepared (chicken for pita was not cooked fresh. It was very dry). Service was good but food has to be the main event and this was our second visit and it was just not good!

Can be packed at sometimes ! But overall worth the wait ! Very nice location and and open to the outdoors as well, I came on a Saturday evening and the place was starting to get busy after awhile. The inside of the place was very tightly squeeze together and mostly the workers bumping heads. Wish they were booths tbh. However overall really good food ! And really awesome fries and philly’s. Visit whenever you can !
