Exquisite, I hardly use that term when describing a dinner. I am typically a home cook and pride myself in making good food, but this put me to shame. Everything from the service, place setting, and some of the best food i’ve ever had. We started with the empanadas. They were served with what tasted to be a wonderful cheddar sauce. After, they brought us out complementary tiny cornbread muffins with honey butter, so good. We waited in anticipation for our main entree’s which were the jerk burger and the griot paired with garlic mashed potatoes and chefs rice and beans. We also had to try the mac n’ cheese which didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was Katrina(hopefully that’s how you spell it, sorry). Couldn’t ask for a better experience, thank you so much and we will be recommending people to come here! My God everyone so friendly. Server was informative and efficient, made recommendations. Nailed each one. Atmosphere was great. Had a table for 4, not rushed at all. Food was awesome and came out quickly. Service Dine in Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
From the moment I walked through the door, I knew the food was going to be good. I'm a native Floridian born from Haitian parents, and this place reminded me of home and my childhood. The Haitian culture food here is authentic as it gets, and damn tasty. Some of the best griot I've had in my life, to be honest. My wife and I also had the Jerk Chicken, Empanadas, and shrimp, and all of these dishes were also amazing. This place is a must try. Can't wait to be back for more. I truly cannot say enough about this place! The wait staff is top-notch. The head chef - an awesome human! You can tell he pours his heart and soul into the food. As for the food, incredible! The appetizers are filling and savory. The entrees are just as amazing. My husband said they have the best fried chicken he has ever had. Please do yourself a favor and check out Pineapple Eddie’s! I seriously can’t express how phenomenal our experience was. The head chef walked us through the second level of the restaurant which he called, “the comfort zone”. Let me say that he was right when he said we wouldn’t want to leave. The food was made with so much love and flavor. One of the best places I have ever eaten and one best food experiences I’ve ever had. Truly will be back as soon as possible. Visited Erie with some friends and they welcomed us to a GREAT dinner and time here. Loved the food, atmosphere and service. The live band had a great variety and sounded amazing to complement the food. We had Blueberry Wings, Jerk Burger, Chicken & Waffles, Fried Chicken, Fried Eggplant and the Cornbread muffins which were all delicious. I had the pleasure to have the last muffin in the basket and could sop up the sauce from the bottom of the basket! Told all our friends about it and can't wait to go back on our next trip to Erie. We were in the area for a getaway and ate at Pineapple Eddie’s two times as we were so pleased with our first meal. I had the shrimp and grits both nights as it was so good. My hubby had the Pineapple Eddie burger first night and the half a roast chicken the second night. He enjoyed both dinners too. We would definitely come back next time we’re in the area. Brief experience: Amazing service, cheerful and knowledgeable servers, AMAZING food, great ambiance. In depth: I ordered the 6 wings as an ap in the spicy sweet sauce. In addition I got a side salad with Caesar dressing. Both again, Very good and had a bold but cozy taste. I ordered the shrimp and grits an my main and let me tell you the sauce that is paired with the shrimp is tasty. I’ll leave at this: I never realized I enjoyed true southern food. This place was way bigger than I thought it was going to be. Great environment and ambience. We had the fried chicken wings as an appetizer, which was by far the BEST fried chicken I have had in Erie. We got the fried catfish and the brown sugar bourbon fried chicken entrees; both were phenomenal. The plantains were also on point, and I am picky about plantains. Overall the place was great, the staff was polite, and it was a great place for date night ❤️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
