11/22/23 Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving I planned on about 1 hour for picking up PIEfection pies. For the last 5 or 6 years I’ve been buying one or two PIEfection pies for Thanksgiving and baking one or two of my own. In my experience at the Mesa location the holiday line can be long but moves quickly. One year I preordered and that worked out great. Last year in Mesa, the long line took me only about five minutes. It was amazing. This year in Queen Creek , I arrived to zero line out front! Only a few customers in the lobby. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, approaching me immediately, asking how they could help. I was told the pumpkin pie had just come out of the oven! I took home, one pumpkin pie (they gave me a container of whipped cream on the side because the pie was still warm) and my brother Selected Boston cream pie (Strange choice for Thanksgiving but that’s OK). On Thanksgiving day, my family ate nonstop for four hours! Appetizers and dinner 130 to 530. At about 6 o’clock everyone started asking for pie! The pumpkin pie was the best I’ve ever tasted perfect blend of spices - I was careful not to say it out loud because usually my mother-in-law makes pumpkin pie. My husband quietly agreed it was the best pumpkin pie he’s ever had had - Then my mother-in-law assured us all it was better than her own pumpkin pie. Boston pie was amazing - Soft layers of cake, paired with creamy custard, and the thin layer of RICH chocolate on top was absolutely amazing. PIEfection Crust is flaky and crumbles perfectly - No way I can make pies like this for the price I paid. Extremely thankful to have PIEfection now located in Queen Creek! Wish I would’ve taken more photos - we ate the Boston cream too fast for pictures … Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Having heard this was the fourth location of this brick and mortar company, and not having a small scale pastry shop available in Queen Creek apart from large name branded options, I was curious and wanted to see the products available. Upon first walk in, the young lady at the counter was friendly, but where the menu is behind her, you almost need to look through someone to see part of what is offered. The paper menus available on the front desk are printed in such small font that I felt I needed a magnifying glass to see them correctly. Small issues though. The left side when you walk in are the plain fruit pies with basic crusts. No strudel topping, one had a light crumb topping but nothing too exciting. The cases with the boxes pies held no indication of when the pies had been made, how long they had been there, nothing apart from what flavor each box contained. Nothing about ingredients, nothing about dietary warnings or possible allergens present. The coolers to the right held much the same problem, just with items that are obviously subject to the time and temperature danger zones. The shelves were not heavily stocked, either due to a busy morning (I arrived just a few scant hours after opening) or otherwise. The slices present were either cracked, broken from shell to center, or were haphazardly stacked in their small pie clamshell containers. I purchased a triple berry pie slice, which was nice for being, or seemingly made, from fresh fruit, but was nothing but seeds. There was no sugar to be found in the bite, the crust layer on the bottom is nearly nonexistent, as seen in the picture, it has leaked through nearly all the way. From the cooler, I tried both a slice of the raspberry cheesecake as well as a slice of French silk. The cheesecake slice was not a cheesecake. It wasn't even a cheese torte. It was the consistency of if someone mixed pudding with a set of gelatin powder molding and placed canned raspberry pie filling on top. The crust tastes like an almond flour crust, which if I was any more allergic to, would have done more than itch my tongue. The French silk was not silk in any way. It had the thickness of a brownie, and upon a bite, felt like eating soft fudge. The whipped cream was seemingly dried, even having been in the cooler. I would've liked to have seen any of the hot foods, even a picture or two on a menu, but those were a mystery to just figure out by name alone. I would prefer going to find a Village Inn for a slice of pie worth the cost, or getting a Marie Callander frozen pie from a grocery store. It was worth a taste, but I can't see coming back for seconds. Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Guys, you HAVE to check out this pie shop! 😍🥧 It's seriously the cutest place ever! First off, the pies are like pure magic in a crust - each bite is a total flavor explosion! 🌟 They explained to me everything is made from scratch and you can tell!! The apple blackberry crumb pie is to die for, and don't even get me started on the chocolate cream pie – it's a slice of heaven! Plus, the aesthetic there is so cutesy and chill, and the presentation of the pies is "piefect"! there was a line for thankgivibg but i decided to still wait and i got a peanut butter brownie pie... it was sooo good!! 🤤🤤 The staff? Super sweet and friendly, they make you feel like family! 10/10 would go back for more pie and good vibes! 💖✨ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My mom and I stopped by here to check out the pies and we had fun choosing what we wanted to take home. I chose a slice of lemon meringue pie. It was fantastic! The meringue was well toasted. The lemon was just the right amount of tangy and sweet. The crust was flaky and held up well under the filling. I'll be back for other flavors! The selection of pies is vast and well organized. It's self serve, grab and go style, but 2 days before Thanksgiving you'd think more than one cashier would be on duty. The staff was helpful. If what you wanted wasn't out front, they'd go into the back and voilá. The coolers weren't cold because so many people were holding doors open and searching for their favorite. As for the taste....the fillings are excellent. The crust tho, mine are better and so are Pillsbury ready made. Piefection crust was more white and crumbly, rather than rich 'n buttery. Personally, I'll stick to baking my own, but wanted to give them a try. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Excellent first experience. My family tried the family size chicken pot pie and we devoured it. The size was perfect to feed 4 adults and all of us loved it. It had amazing flavor and a delicious crust. We can't wait to try more of their savory pies the next time we need an easy dinner. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Cute little local pie shop, always greeted with a smile when we walk in, the pies are soooo good. Girlfriend loves the cookie butter, I’m more of a white chocolate raspberry fan. We will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Can’t rave enough about Piefection! I’ve had their banana cream pie and blackberry apple crumb pie; both were amazing! The only minor complaint I have is that the space is super small inside the Queen Creek Location so it’s a little crammed when busy but not too terrible.
