Damn! I’ve been in Puerto Rico for three days. The local cuisine is not as pleasing to my palate as I’d wish. But, this is some of the best food I’ve had. Best food I’ve ever had in Puerto Rico—actually, from anywhere, ever! The burnt ends are phenomenal, as well as the pork belly, Mac and cheese, fries, and the drinks. WOW. We stopped by Pidekeai to try it out for the first time and we were blown away. The staff is extremely attentive and welcoming. We sat at the bar and the bartender quickly got us some amazing drinks. I had the Twisted NY Sour and my wife had the Smokey Ginger, amazing cocktails with highest quality ingredients. To eat, I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the burger and both of these were so delicious! Very flavorful and the Smokey taste on the brisket which was Texas style (salt and pepper) was spot on! Hard to find food like this in Puerto Rico and the team at Pidekeai completely knocked it out of the park! We will definitely be back! Great food and excellent service. I had the smoked turkey (which was phenomenal) and my friend had the pulled pork sandwich which was even better! The only thing i wasn't impressed by was the corn bread. Will definitely be back sometime soon.
