This was an unexpected surprise introduced to me by a good friend in Santa Fe. The food and portions were amazing! The service wasn't as good as it could have been for as many servers as there were in that small space. The heaters in the entryway were a nice touch 👌. I will definitely come back someday. I can't believe it's taking me this long to write a review of Piccolino. This is our go to Italian restaurant in Santa Fe, and having lived in St. Louis for 20+ years, we sure love Italian food. My wife loves the calzones here as well as pizza. My favorite is pasta pescatore but other seafood specials are great too. Also very good pizza and calzones. Free bread with meal. Large portions, small venue. Very cozy place. Looks freshly remodeled inside. The entrance is on the side. Very clean. Also there wasn't a long wait for the food. Very friendly and speedy service from the staff despite the server still trying to figure out the tablet computer system they were using. Fettuccine Alfredo sauce was excellent and not runny. We arrived at the peak of dinner while the restaurant was packed, but somehow the three of us were seated within 10 minutes. There were a lot of options so it took us some time to figure out what we wanted to order. My boyfriend ordered the Pizza Bolloco and my friend ordered the Lasagna Bolloco which are both made with the famous New Mexico green chiles. I decided to go with a classic Mediterranean dish and opted for the Linguine Provençale. Everything was impeccable! The food, the service, the prices! So glad we found this place during our travels! Food is consistently amazing! Friendly and efficient staff. They serve bread and marinara sauce when you order. Big portions so I usually take half home and enjoy again the next day!
