First visit. Order Petrillo's Specialty. It's a savory+ pizza. Three crust options. Wait time was short. Wished there was a location in City of Industry or Diamond Bar. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I like the food but I guess I have to get it to go because I feel a bit of racial tension. I walked in with my family of 6 and there were plenty of tables at dinner time on a Saturday evening. They told us it was a 45 minute wait I think to get rid of us but I said that's fine. While all the people stare at us like we from another planet. Then after about 20 minutes we get seated and no one services us til about 20 minutes later. But I guess the Server that decided to wait on us was the nicest person ever. The food and service was great until our server turned us over to someone else because it was time for her to leave and then we got ignored. That's cool tho I'm sure another place will gladly take our money with better service and a smile Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Sausage Pizza
Ordered take out. Was told it'd be 45 minutes for a couple of large pizzas, wings, and mozzarella sticks. Pizzas took more than an hr. The 2 sides laid on the counter, getting cold the whole time after I arrived. The place was understaffed. Manager should have stepped in to offer some support. Overall a bad experience Food was awesome even though sides were cold. Pizza not what it use to be. Taste different. Last Pizza I ordered, one of the slices barely had topping, was thrown together. The one before that, the crust looked like a thin crust. I didn't order thin crust. Use to be excellent quality. Disappointed! Not sure what's going on? Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Updated Review: As you can see by my previous review that this restaurant has been a part of my family for decades. We have stood by them through moves and price hikes, etc. We moved a few years ago and since COVID it has been much harder to make it out here for pizza on a regular basis. This year alone our pizza order went from $87 in June, to $117 on NYE. No changes on our end. Tonight's pizza toppings are laughable, if it hadn't already taken ~2hours to get the pizzas (the drive and then the wait) and will take another 45 mins to get home. I would have had them remake these pizzas. I am attaching pictures of our June pizzas and tonight's for comparison of what it used to be to what it is now but the jump of $30 and down to 1/3 the toppings, barely half of what the thick crust used to be, paired with the drive ... I have to ask is it worth it? And that breaks my heart. 42 years I personally have been getting Petrillo's pizza (and their amazing chicken Parm). During COVID we made the trek several times, waited hours in line and I excused the declining consistentcy because of the situation. I even have been willing to excuse the lack of service etiquette from the new employees, they are young and have had their social training impacted by the last few years. But tonight there was no excuse. There was no line despite being busy. There were two people who came in that their orders had been lost. I drug my husband out on his one day off this week for this special treat only to have to walk away with disappointing pizzas that were a whole family meal more expensive than we were expecting. I don't know if or when we will be back at this point. The first photo is from June '23, the next is from tonight (NYE ’23). Prior Review: Look no further than the pictures of how long people are willing to wait for food on busy days. My family have been patrons of the San Gabriel and then the Glendora restaurant since it opened in 1954. The food is amazing. I was working in the area, and came upon this place. Stepping into the restaurant was like going back in time 30 or 40 years, and in a good way. Instead of red tufted booths, they have black ones. There are large tables for family groups also. The waitress was friendly and dropped off a big plate of bread. I ordered spaghetti with sausage and it was excellent. Price was right. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
