Their menudo for the last 3yrs has consistently been on point. Good flavor, great temperature, good consistency and smells good!! First do you know how hard it is to find menudo, that doesn’t stink and isn’t greasy?! Let me tell you, I’ve been to many places for menudo and most are a let down, with it being stinky, not much flavor, or are super greasy! I drive from Lewisville/The Colony for their menudo. It’s about a 48min drive. I always eat one there and get one to go for the next day. Kudos to the chef!!! Staff and service there is always great and quick! Nice little place. Wish I was staying longer so I could try a few different plates that looked like they might be tasty. I had the "Little Maria " which was perfect because I needed something to eat, but not much. Nice thick and fluffy pancakes! This was the perfect size. Coffee was strong, in a good way. Very Bad Service. We go in and wait for someone to seat us (cause usually they have a sign to wait to be seated) this time they didn't but we waited a bit and no one greeted us not even a "will be right with you" or "please have a seat" so we found an empty table and sat..the waitress walked by multiple times not saying anything at all, when we finally asked if we can get helped she rudely stated that they are short staff (which I completely understand) and that we are more than welcome to leave... It would have taken a minute for anyone that walked past by to just state that they are short staffedand we would have understood. Of course we left. And before this experience on a different occasion, I had ordered something, and they gave me something totally different and just said "oh that was the cook." Really bad attitudes and the do it right infront of everyone to see. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Been going here for about 6yrs now never had a bad meal last night was different. Terrible food. I'm sure they have a new cook. Asked for a chimichanga which is supposed to be deep fried. I got a burrito smothered in tastless red sauce and cheese. Rice looked old also tasteless. Beans the same. Seems like they use no spices what so ever. Waitress was new but ok. I always had a good meal here, mostly breakfast which was always good I'll give the breakfast a chance hopefully it will be better. I'm just gonna say it... Is one of the best places at Mesquite area. Is a hidden gem. I've been trying different plates and they are delicious. On this month, June, they have promotions for everyday. The taco Tuesday🤩🌮🌮🌮 is my favorite and just for $1 each taco 🤯🥳. Today, friday, I'm gonna eat torta La Cubana.
