We had a delicious and fulfilling dinner of Peking Duck at a renowned Chinese restaurant in Northern Virginia, which has previously hosted celebrities such as the Korean singer Psy, Simu Liu, and former US Presidents. The decor of the restaurant showcased an old-world charm, but it felt like it needed an upgrade, along with some of its dishes.

Peking Duck
I recently placed a large carry-out order and, upon pickup, requested an additional serving of pancakes. I was informed that this would incur an extra charge, which led me to decline the add-on. During this interaction, the manager (Mei) was training an employee on order modifications. When I mentioned my surprise at the additional cost for the pancakes, especially after purchasing two Peking ducks, the manager's response was dismissive. She abruptly asked for my credit card without addressing my concern and continued to overlook my comments then she walked away after processing my payment. She was very rude and didn’t take the time to listen to my concern and immediately dismissed me by asking for my card, by the time the receipt printed out she walked away.
This is a very poor example of customer service.
My family loves to dine at this restaurant and we normally always get a large order but after my encounter with Mei, we will not be coming back after this unpleasant experience.
I hope this feedback encourages the management to foster a more respectful and attentive atmosphere for their patrons. I have always appreciated the excellent cuisine here, but this experience with the service was regrettably disappointing.

Peking Garden provides perfectly prepared, flavorful, delicious, traditional Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere reminds me of what a restaurant from the 40s or 50s would be like. The waitstaff are extremely attentive and friendly, all dressed in suits and white shirts with name tags. All tables have white table clothes, very traditional Chinese decor.
Unlike many Chinese restaurants, the flavorful food stands on its own without a lot of artificial seasonings (MSG) and sugar. Clearly everything is made from scratch.
The Peking Duck is of course fabulous. The green beans crisp, spicy and flavorful, moo shu isn't too oily or over-sauced, all vegetables retain their healthy goodness.
They have all the very cool photos of the myriad of famous folks who have dined there, which is fun.
Very deceiving from the outside, in the midst of a strip mall. Gorgeous on the inside, and like I said, you feel like you've been transported into another era.
Highly highly recommended.

Peking Duck
Best Chinese Peking duck restaurant ever, in my top 3 for Chinese in the world 🌎. Peking duck expertly sliced table side, first skin is sliced on plate then fat layer is disagarded then white & dark meat 🦆 are plated complemented by pancakes, hoisen sauce, special garlic sauce, farm fresh leeks and sliced cucumber out of this world. The other holy Trinity of chefs suggestions to order here consist of 1. Jeo Yen Shrimp 🍤 amazing slightly fried crispy A10 shrimp dusted with spicy rub. 2. Walnut Chicken a sweet& sour chicken but way more savory with higher quality sticky red sweet sauce topped with candied walnuts. Schezuan beef proper a crispy tangy beef that is not to be missed. Appetizers: dumplings, spring rolls w/ house garlic sauce and all soups outstanding. I also enjoy the Peking celery & the ambience is incredible who's who of political & military & Hollywood celebs dine here what a treat, visit during slow hours to get quick seating you will think me later!
