Authentic Chinese restaurant! Portions are really big and 1 dish is good for 3-4 people. Atmosphere is great. It can get really busy during peak hours but the wait is short and they accept reservations. Don't go home before tasting there free dessert at the end of the meal! Great food. Smelled so good stepping into Peking Garden. The staff is upbeat and everyone is happy. Great, service. If your American try some Chow Fun. I like Beef Chow Fun. If you never tried it well now you know. It’s excellent. The food is made fresh and is very tasty. I’m glad my wife got me out tonight. One great thing with the menu is that they have pictures of what the food is you want to order. This is real Chinese Food with great flavor. Left with a smile on my face. Very happy! No, Sizzle! After getting a recommendation to Peking Garden, we thought we would give it a try. We ordered the duck 3 ways, Chef's Special House Sizzling hot platter, Walleye, and what i think was the stir-fryed pea tips. The duck taste 1 was good and crispy as it should be. The only issue with this dish is with the chinese pancake. This was closer to a tough 8-inch tortilla. The Chinese pancake that goes with this dish is thin, light, and delicate, normally about 5 to 6 inches. The duck taste 2 is a soup made from the bones with some vegetables. This was ok but not my favorite. The Duck Taste 3 is a stir-fried version... it was good and tasty. All three of the above come from just 1 duck. The Chef's Special House Sizzling Hot Platter was a disappointment... first, there was NO Sizzle... when we questioned this, the person delivering the food got defensive, and said that the inner plate was very hot... it was warm to the touch but had no chance of burning anytime. The server said that would not be safe. There are several other places in the cities where the plate is actually sizzling. On top of this... the dish was clearly Americanized. Skip this dish... fyi, the rice plate was hotter than the sizzling hot platter. The walleye, from what I understand, was prepared correctly and had a good taste. Stir-fried pea tips had almost no flavor and lots of oil, and we ended up leaving most of it behind. For a party of 4, we spent $164. With tip.
