We arrived at 17:40 and were looking for dinner, we were really hungry since we skipped lunch. Since we wanted to see the sunset at Sagres, we decided to look up the best rated restaurant and it did not disappoint! We started with a bit of a rocky start, since the crew was still eating their diner and they blocked the door with a chair, which we found a bit strange as the times on Google mentioned they were already open. But one of the members came out to explain and that they would open in 15 minutes. So we waited a bit and all good. We ordered some bread, butter, sardine paste and olives to still the initial hunger and shared some clamps as a starter. As a main we had the grilled swordfish, codfish from the oven and grilled squid. The grilled swordfish was delicious and came with 2 steaks, baked potatoes and very tasty grilled mixed veggies. The codfish was served with baked potatoes and 3 muscles. The squids were plentiful and served with homemade chips. After that we saw a lot of tasty deserts presented. They were homemade and very delicious. The highlight was the desert with banana! We asked for an espresso martini as well which was not on the menu. They said they could make it for us, however they did not have the right liquor and asked if we would like the drink with an almond liquor instead, which was fine for us. So we got to try a new espresso martini recipe! All together the food was great and the service was very on top. Definitely recommend to go here :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The fried prawns and grilled turbot were delicious. As in, the best prawns I have ever tasted. And the skin of the turbot, crispy in the best way. Followed by an assortment of homemade desserts; all excellent but the creme pie was a standout. Outstanding, friendly service. Family owned and operated. Yes, yes, yes. Please, stop here if you want to try fresh and tasty fish. I'll start by saying that the location and the overall external view of the restaurant are not very promising. My suggestion is to give it a try and go inside. You will find friendly, kind, and attentive waitpersons willing to help you and serve you the best dishes. I tried the sea bass fillet with potatoes and vegetables, and my boyfriend tried the chicken breasts with fries. As starters, we tried the clams with garlic bread. Everything was simply perfect: tasty, balanced, and very fresh. The wine (Vicentino) we had on top was a very good one for a fair price (20€). The food was a m a z i n g! Had the tuna, wife had the prawns. So fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. The dessert - home made cakes - were at least as good, if not better. The waiter was also super helpful and made our experience even more wonderful. A pearl in Sagres. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We turned up in Pedra do Gigante and we had an amazing lunch and we enjoyed very fresh fish . We ordered Algarve Squid and Grilled Turbit with Vegs and Potatoes. Both the dishes were so delicious and well done. The staff is very polite and professional. One of the best restaurants we have ever been. We came back to the restaurant twice within a short stay in Sagres. We had a little one with us and the service for us plus our baby girl is first class. Not to mention the fantastic food. The fish and seafood is so fresh and cooked in such a delicate and nice way. The restaurant is spotless with a relaxing ambience. Everything just shows the owner and staff take great pride of what they do, and it is such a great pleasure to dine with them. Just had the most amazing dinner of Grilled Turbot. For €18! I was lucky, today the fresh turbot was a particularly big boy, so I got a double the normal portion. Grilled veggies on the side and home made, freshly cut wedges/chips. The service was impeccable AND extremely friendly. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great service & attentive staff, very tasty food. Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday - the service was very quick. Mussels starter was absolutely delicious. Loved the squid Alantejo style with homemade chips. Just say yes, if you're trying to decide whether the short walk is worth it. We did and did not regret it one bit. Family run, friendly service and fantastic fish. The fish we had was oven baked to perfection. The accompanying potatoes crisp on outside tender inside. Good choice of wines at good prices.
