This was the first restaurant that I'm kind of meh about in Kuwait. Not worth a dedicated trip, or even really stopping by. It is located INSIDE the Radisson Blu hotel. Makes sense why I never saw it before... I only knew about it via a Google search. Beautifully decorated, lots of red. It is rather inviting. Inside, it is pretty dim. I came on a slower time and night (after 2200 on a Monday), it seems like... it was fortunately not packed. Service was immediate, which was great. Staff are super friendly. The food was okay. Hot and sour was just about perfect... it was hot AND sour with slight subtle sweetness on the tongue, plenty of food in the soup, and very thick. Not a lot though with such a small bowl... but this is the one thing I would come back for. The chicken spring rolls were very crisp but rather flavorless. I really had to lean into the sweet and sour sauce and hot pickled pepper "water" (it was that thin). Even the braised mixed vegetables in oyster was rather lacking... not even the oyster sauce was strong, and oyster sauce is POTENT. Singaporean noodles didn't hold a lot of flavor either... it actually tasted more of egg than anything, and that was because they let me have all the proteins in there: shrimp, chicken, and egg. It's interesting because most Asian dishes usually scream with flavor, with some exceptions with things like brown sauce, which add a nuanced profile. Aside from the hot and sour soup and the condiments, there was nothing. Pretty disappointing. They keep playing some stupid happy birthday song... it cheapens the vibe and doesn't feel special at all because you hear it so oftehree tmn. There was ONE table that I saw where they brought a cake over... but having to listen to a prerecorded song singing HBD was just cringy. This apparently is a thing because another fancier sit-down restaurant I was at did the same thing. They should do away with this practice as it ruins the atmosphere. Just sing the song in person/concert and be done with it. I left full, but it made me think of cheap Americanized-Asian food. Was rather disappointed. I will give this place another shot, maybe... but mostly for the soup, and more hope for something like the duck. But looking at other reviews, I am not going to hold my breath. 🍽️Food: 3/5 🤵🏽‍♂️Service: 3/5 🪑Ambiance: 4/5 📝Notes: The food was average. I liked the hot and sour soup. But I wouldn’t personally come back. The service was during Iftar hours and the service was also slow. I hope that the restaurant picks things up and this restaurant is very well know historically. the quality of food and service changed .. it was one of our favourite destinations to enjoy delicious food and celebrate . the duck, the very famous dish was dry and smelly. welcome towels, not even warm Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person KWD 10–12
Pretty average food. Dim sum is not bad, spring roll is average, Peking duck is slightly below average, Mongolian beef is not bad, fried rice is good. Atmosphere is a bit dark and old, with no background music. Service and staff were great.

The ambiance was nice and music was pleasant .We ordered soup and Dimsum which was very hot and tasty . Even the main course Singapore noodles , eggplant schezwan and fish manchurian was very tasty and yummy. I would recommend to pls visit the place and enjoy the food. I feel it’s little pricy , but u can go there to celebrate for some occasion
Once a culinary gem, Peacock Chinese Restaurant has lost its luster. The vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients that once captivated diners have faded, leaving dishes bland and uninspiring. While the service remains excellent, the decline in cuisine is disappointing. Hopefully, the restaurant will revive its culinary excellence to regain its former glory. To be honest I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant from a long time because it’s obviously a famous restaurant here in Kuwait so I had high expectations! But I was really disappointed as the food was regular (except for the mongolian beef it was really good) the place/atmosphere calls for renovations and the service was excellent. The food is extremely flavorful and in noce proportions. However, other things in the restaurant not so much. for example, you have to be careful as they place silver silverware for you eat from, and place statues everywhere including the dinnerware. And they do place soft music. Lastly if you will eat at the restaurant, valet is free. Hotel information service is not helpful/provides incorrect operation time... it seems that upon bringing it up to the receptionist (in-person), the hotel DOESN'T value its visitors time or input... Having good food can only take you so much considering the amount of money that is spent if lacking proper communication.
