I found a penny on the sidewalk and thought, "a lucky day"... Fast forward to finding Paul's Place in Hilo, which was truly my lucky day find! It's important to note, you MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS to enjoy Paul's Place experience. After chatting with a local couple, they recommended Belgian waffles. Paul has spoiled me for any other waffles, forever. I will travel far and wide for his waffles. Also, the fish sandwich was beyomd perfection. The mixture of ono and ahi has spoiled my husband's taste buds and raised his bar of approval! Reservations are required but nowhere online to make them or see availability, and they didn’t answer their phone. Not sure if they just try and cater primarily to locals only, but call ahead at least a day in advance if you’re interested in trying.

I had the pleasure of having my first experience at this amazing little restaurant… I couldn’t be more impressed with the service, the quality of the food 🤌 and the atmosphere!
