Ok this is one of the things I have discovered and come to really appreciate and love about this town. I really feel a place in my soul for these little pop up family owned sidewalk businesses where you can taste and feel the love and care that was poured into the products they are offering. Like this is one of the best things I’ve experienced here. This is the kind of thing I would totally invest my money and attention into wherever I am. I think it is so ingenious to know your talents and know what you can offer to others and then use that to support yourself and to bring joy to those around you. My daughter is so lucky that this weekend pastry shop is so close to her home. I would be in trouble though because I would be at their table every single weekend and then I wouldn’t be able to fit into my clothing or maybe diabetes would find a way into my life. 😩😩💜
I was staying in the area for the week and my host told me this was the spot to find the most incredible pastries. I used to live in France, so naturally I was very intrigued. These were indeed some of the best French pastries I’ve ever had!
Wonderful french pastries, both sweet and savory. Totally worth the line! My favorites are the key lime pie, the brownies, and anything savory (mushroom puffs were delicious!). We'll be back!
If there is one positive thing came from the pandemic, it is Philippe Delarue’s ingenious idea to open up a bake shop here in front of his flat. It’s one of my favorite places to invite friends on Saturday or Sunday morning.
You can’t go wrong with any of his goods, but my personal favorite is the bread pudding. Delarue will generously add his “adults only” whiskey sauce upon ordering.
He is too humble to bring up the story himself, but ask him about his journey here – including stints in Le Mans, Paris, London, and Montreal. I can’t locate the article anymore but I think he once had the honor of baking for the queen! ☺️

I live right around the corner from this place and finally tried it recently. Their tarts are very good, the desserts are balanced well, not too sweet or overwhelming in flavor. A good fair price, local, and home made. It's something I place to come back to once a week. The key lime pies and eclairs are a must.
Absolutely delicious! Nice variety, and I loved the pear tart, which is a perfectly not too sweet combo of tender pear and slightly crispy and buttery cake part. You can walk a few minutes to enjoy the view and picnic at Lands End.
