Quite possibly the best pastries in the DMV, at the very least the best almond croissants! We've tried numerous patisseries, bakeries, restaurants, and dessert shops from the DMV to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Paris... and none of them can even come close to comparing to the almond croissants at Patisserie Manuel. Please keep up the great job and hopefully someday you'll also make kouign-amanns ;)
Previous review: The best almond croissants in the DMV. So many soft chewy layers full of buttery goodness. Crisp on the outside and very dense on the inside. Skip the empenadas, too much breading but the filling does have raisin! The macaroons taste pretty similar to other macaroons. The buy 3 get 1 free is likely only available on weekdays
Great find! I stopped at the shopping center and wasn’t expecting a French Bakery. Beautiful case full of pastries and a selection of cook to order brunch items and coffee. I just had the peach danish and it was tasty, not too sweet. I will definitely go back and try more of their pastries. Great outdoor patio, too.
Delicious baked Chilean Empanadas 😋 and cakes that are perfect for large gatherings 🎂 10/10 would recommend. Just dont be confused. This location is not a dine in restaurant or cafe, you must order ahead of time!!
Spied this bakery driving and so glad I stopped in. Staff very friendly and helpful, plus display cases full of pastries. Got the chocolate croissant and ham and cheese and bot were top notch. Would go again to eat my weight
Traditional Chilean empanadas are so tasty! I am so happy to have found a place that makes them. Everything I've tried has been exceptionally good including the pastries and crepes.
I want to have an opinion but I didn’t get to try anything they had because it’s by appointment only. Which I found out after way too much effort.
I called in the morning twice to see if I could come by to try something before ordering a large cake and left a message. I arranged my whole day around bringing my neice by to try this particular cake she had her heart set on for a big birthday. Moving appointments etc. I visited the website a few times and didn’t see that it was appointment only.
It’s also hard to find.
It should be much clearer on the website and on google that still lists hours that don’t exist and shows photos of the old place.
We found another cake at Patisserie Codex - got to try it, and meet the chef who was very accessible and nice. It’s hard to commit to ordering a $44 cake 40 min drive away without being able to try it. Maybe she’ll get back to us for the future, I can understand ppl can’t always be available.
