I agree with others that they have absolutely amazing steaks, along with Paradiso's sides, apps, salads, and drinks - this place is a gem and is an amazing place to have a great meal. The menu looks standard, but once reading the details of each dish, you realize they add their own touch to each item. From start to dessert, you will enjoy the atmosphere and food every time. Best steak in Salem ( we order our steaks medium well)! The atmosphere is inviting, the customer service is amazing. They give you a food tasting and a palate cleanser prior to main dish. This is our go to spot for date nights and so happy Salem has a spot like this. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I loved the art deco style atmosphere of this establishment. Windows the length of the two corner walls provides natural light, in the evening the ambiance lighting provides a soft glow creating an uplifting mood about the dinning and bar areas. The booth seats were comfy and provided privacy. Overhead music were the sounds of 1930's swing and jazz. The serving staff were kind, friendly, and relaxed. The food was divine! Upscale dishes, cooked to perfection! I had a medium rare petite steak with peppercorn sauce, honey glazed carrots and parsips, and a potato leek scalloped potatoes. The dinner was hearty and filling. I also enjoyed a flavorful italian soda. In my opinion the quality of food and service surpasses any fine dinning establishment in the greater Salem area. I will be visiting again. (Our total expense was lower as we only ordered 2 entrees and one soda. We did not order an appetizer, alcoholic drinks, or dessert). However the desserts looks amazing! From the moment our family of six stepped into Paradiso, we knew we were in for a special treat. Despite our last-minute arrival, the staff welcomed us with open arms, accommodating us with a warm smile and an eagerness that set the tone for the entire evening. The ambiance was nothing short of atmospheric. It's a place I've passed by countless times, always catching a glimpse of its charm, but never venturing inside until now. And oh, how I regret not visiting sooner! The environment was buzzing with a unique blend of coziness and sophistication, making us feel right at home yet in a world of culinary wonder. Taking a leap of faith, we entrusted our dining choices to our waiter, a decision that proved to be delightfully wise. She navigated the menu with expertise, selecting dishes that delighted our taste buds and catered to our diverse preferences. Each course was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality and creativity, leaving us in eager anticipation of the next culinary masterpiece. The drinks, much like the food, were a hit. Expertly mixed, perfectly balanced, and presented with flair, they were the ideal complement to our exquisite meal. It's rare to find a place where both the food and beverages are equally impressive, but Paradiso managed to excel in every aspect. In summary, our experience was nothing short of fantastic. It's a gem that took us too long to discover, but now that we have, it's secured a special place in our hearts (and our dining rotation). The whole family left with satisfied smiles and memories of a meal that was as delightful as it was unexpected. We'll be returning in a heartbeat, eager to relive the culinary journey so masterfully crafted for us. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Paradiso offers gourmet food to the delight of the fine food connoisseur . This is not only a lovely restaurant with exceptional food, it also offers an elegant atmosphere that feels somewhat like a roaring 20’s speakeasy, but with open windows, and excellent service (Robin was the best). They also offer hand crafted cocktails and a thoughtful wine list. (Try the Garnacha…yum). I highly recommend the lobster and clam chowder, and the RR Ranch filet with the potato and leek gratin. My husband also enjoyed his rib eye and the crab cakes. But I am fairly certain you can’t go wrong with any menu item at Paradiso! A pure delight! Absolutely amazing. All around. Our waitress was wonderful, so attentive and sweet. Our cocktails were delicious and strong. Every course of the evening was delicious. We had fresh bread with a fancy butter and balsamic, so good. Our steaks were cooked perfectly at medium rare as requested, with thoughtful and perfect sides. My dad could not stop raving about the Gorgonzola mashed potatoes and the potato gratin that the rest of us had was so delicious. Fresh perfectly cooked carrots and green bean casserole that reminded me of my Nana’s but with a fancy twist :) Between each course was a special treat, a palate cleanser that was also yummy and unique. This was the best restaurant dining experience I’ve had in a very, very long time- not just in Salem, but in many other cities too. I really hope they stick around for a long time. The price is worth the punch, the experience, the delicious food, it is so worth it. Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you to all who helped us have an amazing experience tonight. Cheers!

Took my fiance out for an early V-day dinner, 2/13, and we had one of the best dinners we have had in Salem yet. It was our first time there and I made reservations, and its a good thing i did, because they were booked. They were starting there vday drinks early and we both had one, and they were delicious. We decided on the Calabrian Mac & Cheese as our App. It was surprising spicy, not too much, but wasnt expecting it, but it was amazing. For dinner my fiance got the Filet Mignon w/ sherry cream sauce, Bacon, pancetta, and leek gratin and green bean casserole. I decided to get the Ribeye w/ sherry cream sauce, bacon, pancetta, and leek gratin, and grilled squash and tomatoes. This was one of, if not, the best steaks we had, and we lived in Montana for 8ish years. Everything was seasoned perfectly, didnt even need salt or pepper on anything. Steaks were cooked as ordered, medium, and all the fat on my ribeye was perfectly rendered. I dont think i ever been able to eat a whole ribeye, without leaving chunks of fat or gristle on the side, but every bit of fat just melted in my mouth at Paradiso. We capped off of dinner with a creme brulee. It was nothing exciting, but im used to my fiance making homemade creme brulee. It was still good, just nothing crazy. Price wasnt bad either. For app, 3 specialty cocktails, 2 dinners, and a dessert it was about $150, not including tip/ This was a 10/10 for us and we will be back, not even just for a special occasion. I moved to Oregon 2 years ago, The best meals I've had since I moved to Salem have been at Paradiso. Excellent cocktails! I love the pork chop! Service is excellent, always happy. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cioppino
Went here for Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. We didn't realize it was a prix fix menu, but the courses were all super good, so it was totally worth it. My wife had the wine pairings, which she really enjoyed. I had some sort of chocolate Manhattan, which was great. I was a little nervous because I don't really like chocolate flavored cocktails normally, but this had just a hint of cocoa, which actually added a new dimension to the drink. All of the courses were excellent. They were well prepared and delicious. The salad was very fresh. The crab potato cakes were really well done, and though I don't like crab, the sauces were really great, and paired nicely with it. I especially liked the raspberry puree with salsa Verde and bearnaise. I had a filet and my wife had duck. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. The desert was a great size and just sweet enough. The wait staff was great. Our server was very attentive. The bartender/sommelier was very helpful without being snooty, which is a hard line to walk... Overall we were very happy with the experience and will definitely be back to try their more standard menu! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Well what a pleasant surprise in Salem Oregon. You ever watch America's got talent and Simon Cowell watching endless auditions? Then all of a sudden somebody gets up there and sings so well he literally gets emotional, well that's what happened to me tonight at Paradiso. After looking at the menu outside and walking in, I was expecting an above average meal and dining experience. What I received was closer to a Thomas Keller experience in San Francisco. I mean after my calamari appetizer, I was hooked. This chef pairs unusual flavors in a suttle way as to not take away from the star of the plate. His dishes are not only brilliant examples of multi-cultural techniques, but he brings the flavors together so well. Classic French duck breast seared with skin side down, then the twist, on a bed of Spanish rice surrounded by Oaxacan mole. This dish is amazing!!! The Teres Major Steak Diane will be the best steak you will ever ever ever eat in Salem for $28. Second most tender steak on a cow with twice the flavor of a tenderloin. Mine was cooked to perfection in every way. The restaurant is gorgeous inside and you will quickly forget you are in Salem or even Oregon. But the prices are still very affordable regardless of your budget. Its definitely a big city feel with small town prices. Also I want to mention my service was impeccable and with class not often found in Oregon. My server "Jo" literally brought me new silverware with every course. She was pleasant without being overly attentive. My courses always arrived with perfect timing. Her product knowledge was impressive. From the time I walked in until the time I left, I felt like a king. What a great dining experience and addition to the Salem area. This is a must goto restaurant!!! I gave them 5 stars, but really they deserve 10! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100
