Cute little country cafe and bakery right on the main drag in Calvert, stopped by for a quick lunch on my way through and was happy that I did. Excellent loaded Reuben sandwich and a fresh cup of coffee for a nice price. Folks are friendly and the place is cute. Definitely worth the stop if you're coming through!

I ran out of a burger chain a bit up the street after 1 of the 2 employees present announced she was going to the restroom. Lucky for me I found this gem. Very warm and welcoming. Friendly staff. And oh my the karma burger and fries were one of the best I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to eat some of these pies with my family when I get home. This spot will be a regular stop for me as a commute back and forth between Houston and Waco.

Came to check out the town and have a soup and sandwich on a rainy day and it was AMAZING. The cheesecake was absolutely fantastic!! Everything was so authentic and delicious and you can tell it’s all homemade!! This will be our new spot!
