Great variety. Everything looked delicious. I tried the savory scone and a lime pie. So yummy! Staff were friendly and helpful. Pop-in, pop-out place, no room for hanging or tables to sit. Good location. Will definitely be back!

Amazing pies! We got the Tahitian lime and lilikoi pie slices for my moms birthday and they were life changing. On top of that the woman who helped us was wonderful and went out of her way to call the baker to make sure the pies were nut free. I wish I lived in Hilo so I could go everyday!
Absolutely delicious cinnamon rolls (vegan!) and quiche. Definitely make this a stop if you're staying on the east side of the island.

While my wife and I honeymooned in Hawai'i we stopped by here one morning to pick up some fresh bread and any check out any other specialties. OH BOY was that the right call. The bakery doesn't really have a "back", it's kind of just one small room, which is amazing, you can see and SMELL all the goods they make fresh every day. Everything I ended up getting was mind blowing (which was a lot lol, we came back the next morning).
I cannot overstate how tasty everything was, however if you were to try only one thing, you NEED– YOU NEEEEEED to try the Lilokoi Pie. They sell them by the slice, but every day I regret not smuggling like 5 whole pies back on the plane. It should genuinely be illegal to visit the island without trying a slice. Much love to the hard working staff who make this place INCREDIBLE. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Mahalo nui au i nā wāhine o ka Papa'a Palaoa Bakery ma Hilo, Hawai'i. They assisted me in providing a whole lilikoi pie to bring home to San Francisco. They fully wrapped the box in plastic to keep the pie protected, so I could then place it in an insulated bag and surround the box with frozen ice packs. The pie (as well as a cinnamon roll) made it back home just as "hou" (fresh) as when I purchased it, me ka pilikia ole (with no problems), and the pie tastes 'ono loa. I am very grateful for their assistance, and especially their kindness. I highly recommend this bakery to everyone who wants fresh baked goods, but most of all, I am very grateful to the Aloha given by their employees. Mahalo nui loa!!
