I was not at all optimistic of finding a good breakfast in Punta del Diablo, so was very pleasantly surprised by this gem of a cafe on a back road. Their "desayuno completo" features fresh, tasty croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice, seriously good fruit salad, yoghurt, a slice of coffee cake, scrambled eggs, and decent coffee. The space is very peaceful, with loads of shade, sunflowers at the entrance, and is very nicely decorated. Tables are spaced well, giving the place a very relaxed vibe. They feature live jazz on certain nights.

What a hidden gem! This restaurant is so beautifully decorated and the food is fresh and delicious. I had the fish of the day with their papa rosti, and I really enjoyed it. They also make fresh bread (as implied by the restaurant name), which is great. This place was one of 2 top dinners we had during our week in Uruguay.
We made a reservation, as we read it gets crowded, and had a lovely dinner. The ambiance is really cute, you can take your family or a date. We had curry mussels, milanesa and a bottle of wine..40$ we thought it was a very normal price. They have this cute dog, Roberto who likes entrecot. I definitely recommend this place :)

Excellent!!! Incredible service. All the crew is very helpful and kind. The home made dishes are delicious and the prices are the same as everywhere around. I strongly recommend this place and of course I will be back every time I can. This is one of my favorite spots in Uruguay. = )
Varied, fresh and tasty local cuisine. The fish is delicious. Deserts are also very good, not all locally made but of great quality. Setting is cosy and very romantic at night. Prices are ok. One thing that is a let down: like most restaurants in PDD, they use microwave to heat almost all side dishes. Otherwise I would have put 5 stars.
We got the mushroom risotto and shrimp salad. Food was well above average for beach towns. Sat on the lower level and enjoyed ourselves under candlelight.
Great food, creative menu using local ingredients, and really nice and cosy atmosphere. Probably the best restaurant in Punta del Diablo.
