This place is nowhere near as great as it was ten years ago. The bread and pastry selection has shrunk drastically as has the menu. Many tables in the dining area are littered with crumbs, there are discarded napkins, receipts and small pieces of food on the floor throughout. The folks preparing food at the back are plodding along and seemingly not empowered to solve any order issues that arise. Ran into a friend here who had called in her order before leaving home so it could be ready when she arrived, she is catching a flight for London today and had no time to dally. I had ordered when I arrived. She was getting increasingly concerned about her food order not being ready and asked the food prep folks after waiting a long time. They had no record of her order and did nothing to investigate. Attitude was one of "not my problem". She left without her food when my order was ready. Where is the Panera of years ago?? I miss the pastries, the food, and the hustle.

What happened to Panera bread? I stopped there at the Fruitville Pike location on a Wednesday night. I ordered a salad and soup combo. I have to say that I was really disappointed with what I got. The salad was only half full and the soup was mostly broth. It definitely wasn't a meal that was worth what I paid for it. When Panera first opened I was always impressed with their food it was made well and they gave you plenty of it. But since then it has gone downhill. The quality of the food is just not good anymore!
