This is so difficult to rate, the atmosphere is great, feels like you are dining in a italian nonnas kitchen, staff super friendly and the wine is good(but expensive), the food amazing but the portions are so small we left hungry! I was so looking forward to a bowl of fresh pasta and dont get me wrong I got that just not enough especially for the price! I dont know if I would recommend them, so difficult to say, but I wont be back Meal type Lunch Price per person R 200–250 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This place provides a very cosy atmosphere authentic to this region of the Cape but fused with Italian culture, and specialises in grappa, which is a type of aperitif to take after a meal. Grappa is made from grape skins leftover from conventional winemaking. But the fact that its made from grape leftover skins doesnt at all mean its inferior, actually that is where the most of the aroma sits. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A great hidden gem in Stellenbosch for some delicious lunch. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are super friendly and helpful! Definitely come to this place if you’re not rushed for food and prefer a long catchup time with your friends/family. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 350–400
It was in the morning hungry and not even wanting to have anything home cooked. Walked out to the nearby shops and knowing that it was early got to this very beautiful place and I did not think they could help me with anything. Got in welcomed by a very warm smile got in and I asked for something to quench my thirst. A very well explained number of bottles of wine put in front and I said I am hungry before anything can I have some food. Thanks to the chef and her colleagues they made me a plate of food they did not look at how I presented myself they said they were helping the hungry man. I was so proud of them all and I say let us go eat where the people want us to enjoy and will not be looking at who you are or what you have. Thanks again lady do it to all and make sure you make the best of every plate of food you give to each customer. I am proud of you all. You made my day next time my friends and family will come join also. I am proud of the way you handled me and thanks for the beautiful dish you served me
A truly authentic Italian experience, from the ambience to the delicious food, feels like a big family gathering! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 450–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
If you are looking for a truly Italian restaurant then this is the place to go. Do yourself a favour and make a reservation because they are always full. The food is not on a menu but is written up on a Blackboard as it depends on what the local produce is what they prepare. The menu is written in Italian but the staff are very well prepared to explain to you exactly what each dish entails. I would not recommend this as a child friendly restaurant but most definitely for the more discerned patron that enjoys a very good plate of food accompnied by an excellent glass of wine. Giorgio and his son Goerge, the owners, can normally be found in the restaurant, and George's lovely wife runs a very tight ship in the kitchen. The restaurant is located right next door to Dalla Cia, where the offices and Distillery are housed and where award-winning Grappa is conjured from a very imaginative George

When you walk through the doors to this little Italian Gem, it is like you have found a magical portal that transfers you straight to Tuscany! Freshly baked Focaccia with home blended olive oil, are served in baskets. Wine tasting or Grappa pairings are offered, as well as the full range of Dalla Cia wines and a very impressive list of Italian classics. Lunch is as traditional as sitting in Nona's kitchen and eating delicious dishes made from age old recipes handed down from Elena's family to her. This restaurant is unpretentious, but filled with true character and Italian tradition. You will often see wine making legend Giorgio Dalla Cia sitting at a table enjoying his daughter-in-law's cooking while enjoying a glass of Giorgio and ending off with a Caffe Coretto. This is truly the most authentic Italian restaurant you will find this side of the equator! A must visit when you are in Bosman's Crossing, Stellenbosch! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
