If you ask for a gallon of milk, they will ask you if you mean a half-gallon or a full-gallon to avoid confusion. If they tell you that they are out, don't leave just yet: You're going to have to spell it out and ask if they can give you a gallon of milk in one-quart or in half-gallon containers. Get used to a mix with the metric system. Locals use the term 1 liter of milk to describe the actual quart of milk. The outside facade and ample parking could use a little TLC with a nicer sign and more attractive paint job.
