Large portions, served hot! Needed take out containers. Ordered the recommendations by the waitress.
Palermo's is a really great place! I've been many many times. The food is fresh and delicious. Always consistent. The portions are very generous. Pricing is very reasonable. The staff are always super slammed but remain friendly. It's always busy there, for good reason. I would recommend anyone to go give them a try! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Most ridiculous experience I have ever had ordering from a restaurant. My husband ordered a basic pizza with extra cheese, bacon and garlic. We added a side of fries and mozzarella sticks. Not only were they 20 minutes late With the pizza, upon arriving home, we noticed that someone had put literal tablespoons of garlic all over our pizza. When someone orders the garlic, I don’t believe that they are hoping to get tablespoons of garlic in their mouth every time they take a bite of pizza. It was gross… not even edible…. In addition, our mozzarella sticks were not cooked and the french fries were cold the most basic things that a pizza shop should be able to make. because we had four children and didn’t have time to deal with it, my husband decided to start making macaroni and cheese. We called the pizza shop and told them what had happened instead of them apologizing and offering a refund, They begin arguing and insinuating that we were trying to rip them off and that we must return the unused food in order to get a refund. I told them that I had children and that it was ridiculous for them to expect me to drive all the way back when I’m trying to take care of kids and they already inconvenienced us by making horrible food , needless to say I actually did put two children and one of them a baby and drove to the pizza place which was 10 minutes away. I asked them upon arrival to please come out and get the pizza because I had a baby in the car and I couldn’t come inside. Even though they told me to bring the pizza back, they refuse to come out and get the pizza so I had to quickly exit the car and left the pizza inside with one of the waitresses And ran back out so I could be with my baby who didn’t want in the car. I called back and asked for them to refund our card now that they had the unused food. they refused to refund and the owner got on the phone and started screaming at me And told me he was gonna call the police on me. He also accused me of being somebody who causes problems in his shop all the time except we never order food from there so he must be confusing me with somebody else. It’s very obvious that they have problems with numerous customers , we live over in East Earl and normally go elsewhere but because they were closed on Monday we decided to try this place . My family and friends order from Palermo but I’m sure after the story gets out people will think twice. No one wants to have the police called on them for someone messing up their order or a restaurant owner not taking responsibility for their mistakes. We can easily dispute this on the credit card, which will be happening. I was just trying to show them and honor their request to return the pizza which I didn’t need to do. Literal mouthfuls of garlic all over our pizza. Disgusting gross food. Never again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

It's great food. You will be surprised tho if your expecting a deal, it's a middle price but high quality meal. The portions out pace your appetite, so it's worth the money. It will also be busy and noisier than say an Olive Garden, they will take care of you here but it's definitely not a candle light date night, it's more like a, this was exciting type of date night. I’m 100% Italian and I worked in the restaurant business for 35 years so, when I tell you the food and service here is good, I know what I’m talking about. I’m just annoyed that after living in Lancaster for 40 years, I’ve only just recently found this little gem of a place. A little bit of a haul to New Holland but worth the trip. If you’re looking for high end, there’s nothing fancy here. It’s a pizza shop with great food. Our server, Betsy, was just a delight. She couldn’t have more pleasant or accommodating. She’s been in the business long enough to anticipate your needs. Service like that is very rare. We ordered chicken parm and the bolognese. Sauce is a big deal to me and it was REALLY good. So many places put too much tomato paste in their sauce. Not here. Garlic bread was some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Huge side salad with enough dressing that you don’t have to immediately ask for more. I like to customize my pasta order and Betsy didn’t blink an eye. She rolled right with it. I spoke to the owner on my way out. She’s owned it for over 30 years and you could tell that her heart and soul was wrapped up in this place. Go. Enjoy.
