I was happy to find this "upscale" restaurant right down the street. I put "upscale" in quotes because I don't want to mislead customers into thinking this is an expensive, fancy restaurant. It is casual, but you can go fancy if you want, and fit right in. The bar has multiple TVs to watch the games or news on, but I wouldn't call it a sports bar restaurant, the restaurant atmosphere is candlelit and romantic. My first meal here was on Valentine's Day 2023 and it was every bit lovely.
I have been to Palate many times in the last year, and have never had a bad meal. Food and drinks are excellent and unique. I absolutely LOVE the Stuffed Jalapenos for an appetizer, and the Pesto Shrimp Cavatappi for an entree (I usually have leftovers for lunch the next day there's so much of it). My drink of choice is the spicy Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita, but my BF loves the Smoked Old Fashioned, and the Whiskey Sour . I've also had the Boursin Fried Eggplant, Mini Beef Wellington, Lobster Bisque, Crab Ragoons, Grilled Filet Mignon - ALL DELICIOUS! My BF's favorite is the Chicken Katsu, and both he and my neighbor claim the Palate Burger is "the best burger I've ever had." My mom loves the Turkey Dinner, and also says the sweet potato mash is the best she's ever had.
I've gone for Brunch once, and will be back. I had the Smoked Salmon Bites, and my BF had the Palate Pancakes. Again, DELICIOUS.
Rose and Izzy are wonderful servers, and I always enjoy seeing them. Very friendly and helpful.
Prices are reasonable for the amount of food, and quality you get. Hunter's Creek locals can look for coupons in our monthly mailers, and I have received coupons via email as well.
I highly recommend Palate Bistro & Bar.

I have status on American Airlines and found this restaurant on their website where you earn three miles per dollar spent at participating restaurants. They offer very good service, easy listening music, a nice bar selection, great happy hour prices ($5 margaritas, house wine, mixed drinks and whiskey sour) and I love the motif. I had a margarita on the rocks and my husband had a whiskey sour. He enjoyed the shrimp and rice (lunch special item) and I had the mushroom risotto. The flavor was amazing, but I do have to admit that the rice in the risotto was a tad bit hard, even though I do know that this can be tricky when perfecting the art of risotto. I would definitely recommend this spot here in Hunter’s creek ESPECIALLY if you are looking to maximize you American Airlines Advantage millage accrual. I will definitely come back to enjoy!

This was easily the worst food I’ve ever had. I was attempting to take my parents somewhere new outside of Keke’s and Cracker Barrel and frankly either of those would have been better than this. Firstly, we showed up at 11am when they open (I made a reservation) and they were not at all ready. Still sweeping the floors, tables not set, whatever. We had nowhere to be so this was fine. This is a tapas style restaurant so we ordered a few items. We ordered the chicken and waffles, steak scramble, crab Rangoons, sausage and kale soup, Boursin eggplant, and two sides of bacon (we asked that the bacon NOT be crispy). When they brought the chicken and waffles, I almost fell out my chair. They threw on two popcorn chickens over three tiny waffles. I’ve seen tapas chicken and waffles and you usually get one whole piece of chicken. I stayed quiet. They then brought out completely burned bacon. The other items looked fine but had no taste at all. The steak, eggs and potatoes were completely season-less. We requested the bacon be replaced and after our food was pretty much finished, they brought out bacon that looked more burned than the first order. I chose this place because it looked nice and had 4.8 stars. I don’t know how it received this rating. It is a nice looking spot for drinks (maybe). Our waitress, Rose, offered us dessert to make up for the terrible food experience. We refused. I wanted out of there so fast once I saw the bill was $75. I love a good brunch and there is no way this food should cost this much. I could have recreated our meals from frozen items at Publix for $30. The flavor would probably be better. I did leave Rose a tip since she was very nice and even withheld the credit card machine after I paid (which I assume was so I did not have to tip) But I appreciated her validating our experience and expediting our exit. Will never return or recommend.

I’ve been to palate bistro a couple of times. Our first was with my fiancés family and we all really enjoyed their food and atmosphere. I’ve also been here for brunch and I enjoy their tapas menu. I love that I can try a little bit of everything with the tapas portions. Food has always been delicious and I love that we have a nice restaurant with a distinctive menu in our community. I really wish our locals would consider this place a lot more.

Title: A Gem in Orlando - Palate Bistro & Bar
Rating: ★★★★★
My husband and I, vacationing from Seattle, found ourselves craving a break from the Disney tourist scene and a taste of local Orlando cuisine. A quick Google search led us to Palate Bistro & Bar, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our find.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. The appetizers we opted for the eggplant and coconut curry shrimp. I opted for the Grouper, while my husband chose the Pork chop. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and leaving us thoroughly satisfied. We actually decided to order to donate to the cause to eliminate human trafficking “Magical Dining”! Love that the local restaurants are donating to a great cause! 🙌
The service was equally impressive. Our waiter, Izzy, was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He provided a detailed breakdown of the menu and even offered recommendations for drinks. The lychee martini he suggested was a delightful surprise and a perfect accompaniment to our meal.
The atmosphere of Palate Bistro & Bar added to the overall experience. It has an urban, upbeat yet casual vibe that would suit a variety of occasions, from a romantic date night to a fun girls' night out.
In conclusion, if you're in Orlando and looking for a dining experience that offers fantastic food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere, Palate Bistro & Bar is a must-visit. It's a local gem that certainly won't disappoint!
When we return to Orlando we will definitely visit again! A must try!🥰

First time for brunch today and had the BLT Flatbread. The service was excellent, all the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food presented beautifully and was served quickly. The BLT was pretty average, but could tell it was made fresh and even had some pork belly in place of bacon. I was kind of surprised that it wasn’t busier, it seemed like a newly renovated space but hardly anyone was there while I dined. I do have to say that it was pretty hot while in the restaurant. I could see the thermostat was set to 75 and it was 80 where we sat by the windows. Thankfully the staff supplied lots of ice cold water!

We enjoyed a great dinner experience. Started with appetizers the beef wellington and there spicy tzaziki sauce. Both were full of flavor everything worked so well.
Our entrees were the stacked grouper, filet minion, and rib eye. These were also so good. Everything was presented with a bit of elegance. To round out our meal we ended with dessert chocolate and peanutbutter cake. Yes oh my so rich but oh so good.
Service was good, the atmosphere minus the music was great.
Will for sure come again.
