We went to town late while there were many places still open they didn't have the menu items we were looking for, many days in Bar Harbor had lobster, steamers, BBQ etc. I was in the mood of something different but still local and fresh. We couldn't have picked a better place. Lobster bisque was absolutely delicious. The fish and chips with truffles fries amazing, fish couldn't be more fresh and perfect seasoned accompanied with tartar sauce I loved it. To end with a blueberry pie and blueberry ice cream, both delicious perfect balanced not too sweet very tasty I'm still thinking about it. My husband had an onion soup that it was ok. The broth was a bit blend. But the hamburger was excellent. Cocktails were also good. I recommend this place, go for the local ingredients dishes on the menu you won't be disappointed. This restaurant is traditionally Irish from the name, atmosphere, and the selection of Stout. Where it differs though is the implementation of local Maine cuisine, which means lobster. For my starter I opted for the Lobster Bisque, which is a very thick, creamy, lobster soup with a very rich flavor. While delicious, due to its richness and size, you may want to have this as an entree. For my main course I had the lobster roll, which came with your standard (but excellently executed) truffle fries, which weren’t very truffle-y though, but also some delicious spicy sliced pickles. This can be gotten either hot with butter, or cold with mayonnaise which I ordered. While it was Definetly good, I couldn’t distinguish its flavors very well after just having lobster bisque. For desert I had the bread pudding served with Vanilla Ice Cream, and had a candied pecan, rolled chocolate pieces on top, and rum-soaked raisins which helped add to the flavor. It also comes with a Carmel sauce which is drizzled over top. Overall nice atmosphere, and great service also. We dined on a Thursday evening when the wait time was well over an hour for most restaurants, and Paddy’s used a text message system to tell me when a table was ready, which was about 35 minutes later, so I took this opportunity to walk around the downtown area and window shop. My recent visit this is Irish restaurant was a pleasant culinary journey. I decided to try the fish dish, and it was an excellent choice. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky interior. It was seasoned just right, enhancing the natural flavors of the fish without overwhelming it. The accompanying side dishes, including mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, were equally well-prepared, adding a wholesome touch to the meal. To quench my thirst, I ordered a mocktail. It was a delightful blend of various fruit juices with a hint of fizz, offering a refreshing and non-alcoholic alternative. The mocktail's presentation was also quite impressive, served in a stylish glass with a garnish that made it visually appealing. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, with a cozy and with options to dine outside as well. The service was attentive, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, providing recommendations and answering any questions I had. This contributed to the overall positive dining experience. In conclusion, my experience at this Irish restaurant was a memorable one. A great option for a later dinner in Bar Harbor, as many restaurants close between 8-9pm. While technically an Irish spot, they do have a variety of menu options. I went with the fish tacos and they were absolutely delicious! My server Rebecca was very attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and comfy. Great for both families or a date night. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ambiance is a bit dark. The service is strained. They seemed to have enough people, but it does not help that the diners use them as tour guides and concierge. The food was disappointing. We ordered a breakfast sandwich 3/5 and avocado toast 2/5. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We visited Bar Harbor for a long weekend and on this particular day spent the whole day visiting Acadia. We were a bit tired but definitely STARVING once we reached downtown around 6:00p. We first checked with a seafood restaurant that looked tasty but they had a 2 hr wait, so we went to Paddy’s and asked what their wait time was (15-20 min). So we went to Paddy’s. The restaurant was BUSY so service was slightly slow but wasn’t bothersome to us. Our server was very informative and absolutely fantastic. He was super nice and attentive when our glasses ran dry. The beer was delicious, the cocktails were strong, and the food was fabulous. We were all very happy with our experience and would recommend Paddy’s to anyone. I had the Atlantic cod sandwich and fries and it was so good! Their lemon tarter sauce was delicious. The fish tacos were missing the avocado and coleslaw toppings when it was first presented but they rectified it quickly! We had dinner at Paddy’s on a beautiful August night and sat outside right on the water. The view was great and the food was delicious. We started with the hot crab and lobster dip which was a 10 for both of us. My husband had the surf and turf which had short rib and lobster tail. I had the lobster salad and it had more lobster meat than I could finish. We finished the night with the Guinness chocolate cake which was also excellent. We would definitely go back! Excellent food, I was surprised. No offense, but I was expecting Irish Pub food. That was not the case. Best Fish Tacos I've ever had. Lobster n Crab Dip was to die for (especially using flat bread over chips). Taste and authenticity were spot on. Our server Abraham was quirky, attentive, on point, and made our experience memorable. After facing 2 hour waits at some of the other establishments in the area, we were forced to be seated at Paddy's. God's hands at work. Better food, better experience, better prices. Keep up the good work. We'll be back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Wings
Overall a nice experience, especially being able to sit outside. Pros: - being able to have outside seating - our waitress was very pleasant - we were to walk in and be seated - the food was cooked well Areas for improvement - cost was a little high for me - it took a little while to get our food so I imagine that if they were busy it would take a very long time - my sister, who enjoys truffle, said the truffle fries were not so great. Flavor was too strong. But says maybe it’s because she got truffle salt. Overall: Nice quick easy place to grab a meal, good food. The reason I gave 3 stars is because there is not much that really stands out about it. It’s not bad or anything but not over the top amazing either.
