Took my outdated 15 year old MTB in to get fixed. They had some trouble finding parts for such an old bike but they got it done and couldn't have been nicer. Cost seemed very reasonable to me.

5 Star service - Employees are extremely knowledgable with practical advice that worked with our budget and abilities. Delighted with our purchases which perform as Pacos described. We purchased 2 bikes which now are serviced for free for a year by Pacos.

They stripped out the brake pad bolt while doing a service. Good prices and they have provided good service quality in the past, but this is unacceptable
Broke a spoke at the end of a Northstar day and every other bike shop in town told me to not even bother coming in. I called Pacos and said to come on in. They had it fixed within the hour, they have beer on tap while you wait, and a cute shop dog. They’ve gained loyal customers for life.
We were recently in Lake Tahoe for America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride and at mile 70 I found that my front tire was damaged. Luckily at this stop Tad was there from Paco's with a mobile bike repair station and he had me back on the road with a new tire quickly. Thanks Tad!

Huge shout out to the crew at Pacos!  They really delivered when needed. I had a minor repair that took about 30 minutes on my mt bike.  Other shops in Truckee, told me to come back in a few days or make an appointment as they were too busy (I get it, staffing shortages, holiday weekend, Truckee is busy).  Pacos on the other hand, fixed it the same afternoon so that I did not need to miss a few days of riding.  To make things even better, they offered me a beer while I waited and I talked about bike trails and I shared riding stories with some of the staff.  This deserves highly recommended in my book! We have a lot of bike shops in Truckee, many are very good and provide good service but being told to wait a few days for a 30-minute repair sucks.

Pacos is so friendly and responsive. I've taken my bike there for tune ups and minor repairs and the bike techs are great.
Had a part break (pivot bolt) on my bike while riding at Northstar. Called Paco's they were helpful and they had the kit in stock. We installed the kit in the parking lot but had a part of the broken bolt that I couldn't extract. The service tech removed the bolt and didn't charge us. Great customer service and we'll stocked.

Not so great experience getting a pretty basic repair done at this place.. Came here to get a flat tire fixed. Talked with the mechanic about going tubeless, which he mentioned should not be an issue after checking my wheel. About 20mn later he mentions that he won't be able to do a tubeless install since there's more prep-work needed than what he expected...a bit disappointing but I wait for the tube to be installed and ask to buy an additional one to use as a spare. The spare was rated for a max width smaller than my tire, so I asked the mechanic about it and he dismissed the issue saying these would work just fine and just stretch a little... Next morning at Northstar, got a flat tire on the very first ride down...was near the service shop so went there, the guy looked at my tube and showed me that it was listed as a "thin" tube ... clearly not DH worthy and definitely not what you'd want to use with the plan of letting it stretch for a wider tire. Wasn't able to come back for a refund on that spare tire, so I'm now left with a freshly blown tube, and not so cheap tube install cost to get the wrong tube installed in half an hour and my wheel covered in sealant, and a worthless paper-thin spare tube... Too bad because they had a decent parts selection and I was planning to come back, but there are more than enough other bike shops to choose from in the area to avoid going back here after this experience..
Outstanding customer service - no matter what happens they will get you going. I had a pedal strike damaging a pedal and they help me out at no charge. Best knowledge, best equipment and best customer service. We have purchased four bikes over the years and we never regretted it. Buying local has its advantages but this shop go above and beyond the call of duty.
